Mine was doggy up to red line on a hard pull. Hesitation. Turned out to be a dirty fuel filter. Changing that thing was a PITA unless you drop the rear of the IRS.

How old sir ?
Politics are conservative ,
Weather is mild , mostly a lot of retired Californians here since the late 80s .
They have tried hard to make this into a little where ever they came from .
Fortunately, that has only happened north of the lane county line , all the way to Portland .
Yeah sounds about right. Portland has ruined the whole damn state. I actually talked to a woman who was a kid there back in the 50s when the town blew up. she has some amazing pics. if it weren't for portland I would be tempted to move back and retire there ... but will opt to stay in Texas .. so far we have managed to keep the Austin liberals under control.

I have changed the fuel filter and have watched the fuel pressure under WOT, pressure stays around 40 psi. I am blessed to have installed a lift so fuel filter took 15 minutes.
Portland has ruined a beutiful state, if you can stomach the political circus it is a great place to enjoy.

I put in new injectors on bank 2 only, now i have -25% long term fuel trim on bank 2 instead of a +10% before the swap. The o2 sensor for bank 2 us now staying steady at .92 instead of switching low and high.
I am feeling frustrated now.

I have new ford racing 24lb 6 hole injectors and 2 new o2 sensors, and i need to drive it more but it seems to run alot better. I now have equal ltft on bank 1 and 2 but it is about +19%. I have also installed a c&l intake to replace the bad pvc intake. The only other thing I can think is a new maf. Any ideas would be very helpful. I will post what fixes my issue!

You mentioned a new alternator.

Did you reuse your stock/factory alternator pulley or are you using the one that came with the replacement?

Check the diameter of the alt pulley and measure it from lip to lip and give us your measurements.

Also, do you have aftermarket accessory pulleys?

Everything on the alternator is the same, the car is bone stock. The new intake has an 80 mm opening just like factory. I found 8 low miles motorcraft coils for 40 bucks i will grab tomorrow.

Did you measure?

If your alternator pulley is smaller than stock, it overspins at higher RPMs and voltage begins to cut out. This causes the vehicle to hesitate at higher RPMs.

My question was a serious one.

That's about right. 2.48" is what they measure at.

Not sure what else your issue could be, but if you can't solve it with all the other fixes, I might recommend seeing if someone local with a 99-01 can swap their alt with you and see if the problem disappears.

Can you datalog?

I also have developed a howling from the intake at very low/idle rpms. The new coils are in and still no change. I am getting lean codes from my +25% long term fuel trims. I guess i can change out the upper plenum gasket to rule out an intake leak. My long term fuel trim numbers go way down next to 0 when the engine has a load but short term numbers go up.

2.5 inches
at the lip or the ribs?

are they smaller than the Mach 1 alt pulleys? my old stock Mach alt pulley measures 2.75 at the lip and 2.5 at the ribs. if his is 2.5 at the lip he could be over-spinning it, assuming they are supposed to be the same size as the Mach 1.
