I have a bone stock 99 cobra that has a flat powerband at 4000k rpms after the car is heat soaked. So when the car just reaches normal operating temperature it has lots of power and 14 to 16 degrees of timing at wot to the redline. When the car is heat soaked and i stab the throttle the timing jumps down to 0 and then goes up to 4-6 degrees with honda civics passing me laughing at the cobra. Help me.

Crank sensor , engine wont start , cam sensor will cause this to some extent .
Need to test the wiring to those and the knock, at the sensor and the ECU.
I dont believe there is a problem with the ECU, but you are not getting full timing .

My first guess would be the knock sensors. You should be able to monitor the activity through a datalog.

Makes me worry that i will get the same results, if I tape them up to the harness it would isolate them, I think. I am just at a loss, i am leaning hard on getting a tune to turn them down.
