Just got around to mounting my new slicks just in time for the weather to start cooling off so I can get back to the track. Hoping some people on here have used these and can maybe give some pointers on setup. Tires are M&H cheater slicks 26x11.50-16 mounted on 16x10" Holeshot holestars. Haven't really messed with launching on slicks but am planning on starting out around 20psi and launching off the 2 step around 4,500 rpm. Cars a '98 cobra with a single turbo, t56 magnum, and an IRS out of a 2003 cobra.

Here's the car on it's street wheels, widened saleen lemans. Never launched on the drag radials as I was too scared to snap an axle and had read bias plys are the way to go for manual trans and the IRS.

Anyway, looking forward to getting back on the track. Best I've managed is a 11.6 @ 135 with a 2.1 sixty foot. But with the 2 step and some bias plys I'm hoping to get that to a 1.6-1.7 sixty and get the car down into the 10s.

That looks awesome!! Are they stiff walled or no?

Thanks man! I really like the look as well, now I need to track down some used 17" aluma stars for the front lol. All I can find on them say they are wrinkle wall, I'd assume that means no to the stiff wall question but I'll admit I don't know much about tires.

Looks mean! Turn the 2 step up higher its easier on the timing chains and more boost!

Thanks! Ok I’ll make sure to do that. Any suggestions or experience with a good starting point. 5-6 range. 6k seems high to me but I don’t have much of any experience with it.

Badass man. What size turbo? A custom kit? Any underhood pics?

Thanks. Turbo is a turbonetics 7868 on just an on3 forward facing kit with precision wastegates.

Nice. I'd probably start at 15 and go down from there, but that's just me. Good luck. Definitely making enough power to run well into the 10s.

Wonder how much sway they'll have at 15psi and lower. I don't have skinny's up front yet so will be running a full size front for now. Thanks, car pulls decent on the big end just haven't had luck hooking up through the 330'.

Have someones how to dial in a vehicle come with you. My buddy knows how so he videos me launching. Then slows down the video on his phone, studies it, then we adjust shocks/tire pressure/launch rpm etc.
