Run to Charleston then take 17 North. That should get you there now. Other than that, put the trucks on a barge and head up the ICW.

I am joining you on this search. We have been asked to bring supplies (luckily not demanded to do so yet), working with locals now to find a good route.

Good luck getting in and thanks for the assistance y'all are providing! Last I heard was that Wilmington was essentially cut off from the rest of the world, but I haven't been keeping up, and Travis seems to know something. Lol

At high tide I think 421 closes a relative just posted about an hour ago they were on 421 a few miles out of Wilmington and got turned around so if you get to I 40 exit at #373 i think it is Magnolia to Hwy24 to Jacksonville NC then 17 south into Wilmington ***Cape Fear River near Wilmington will continue to rise for about the next two days that info is from the authorities.

Locals told us the best way to navigate to Wilmington is to use Waze. 421 has been reported to be open, but hadn't heard our thought about tides.

At the moment according to Law enforcement the only route into Wilmington is to get to I40 exit 373 to Jacksonville NC and then 17 south to Wilmington. Google this app ** ReadyNC App ** It is running pretty much real time as flooding continues and rivers still continue to rise in our area. My son posted a picture as he came through Kinston NC of the water on hwy70 rising into one of the lanes and about 10 minutes later another friend posted that 70 was shut down. And we are coastal so tide is a factor on many road ways around us.
