The stock hood prop kills me. Never understood why these cars couldn't come with struts, it's such a cheap thing but makes the car look so much better
100% concur!

Did that include the wider wheels, Norton, or was that just the widebody kit?Yes, but that's parts only and doesn't include wheels or tires. The kit "requires substantial body/paint work and installation by a professional body shop." IIRC, Shelby quoted a friend ~$25K (parts and labor) to install it on his 2013 GT500.
Leno misspoke regarding either the 5.4 reference or the 850HP reference, since those were mutually exclusive. Given it's a 2014, safe to assume the 5.4 reference was inaccurate.
I don't recall the discussion making it to that level of detail. Unsurprisingly, it didn't go much further when the ~$25K number was mentioned.Did that include the wider wheels, Norton, or was that just the widebody kit?
Dude the jesus guy was driving me insane also, he doesn't know shit about the car and those wheels are about the ugliest thing I have ever seen on a GT500. Jay should have done the video by himself, it would have been more enjoyable.Car in video is awesome, too bad the video was so terrible.
Jay Leno: I think this might be a live axle
Jesus guy: ummmm
Is it me or is the jesus guy slow?
That would make more sense, I could see it being $25K including the wheels. I’m sure those are pretty pricey.I don't recall the discussion making it to that level of detail. Unsurprisingly, it didn't go much further when the ~$25K number was mentioned.
Based on Shelby's quoted cost of $21K for "Full Widebody Package" on an existing SS build, I'm going to GUESS $25K included tires and wheels.
That's not horrible considering the rims and tires are probably $8k aloneSorry for bringing this post back up but I did inquire about the widebody and it would cost right at 19k with wheels and tires doing front and back widebody. It would look mean as hell but It's still abit pricey.
You're always going to be paying that Shelby TAX when dealing with them. That's not horrible considering the rims and tires are probably $8k alone
