I still think it could go the same way as the Aldo or Alvarez fight. I really thought Alvarez would wreck Connor.
I did too. Alvarez admitted he threw the game plan out the window and blew it. If they ran that back and Alvarez stuck to their original plan he wins IMO.

That fight hurt to watch, I'm a huge Alvarez fan.

I like Alvarez a lot too. He's a good guy, real down to earth. That was hard to watch... he got absolutely mauled.

If KN gets knocked out he loses, if he stays conscious he wins.

...and lets not forget how utterly savage the Michael Johnson 'fight' was:

Meh. Khabib almost got KO’d in the first minute of that fight and then basically took MJ the distance.

Johnson wasn’t even bleeding despite all the head shots.

The victor of that fight was blatantly obvious and Khabib clearly dominated, but his tiny hands just don’t pack much of a punch.

Really not a better grappler though, right now. He’s extremely powerful once they’re on the floor.

Khabib has no head movement. He is going to get caught by mcgregor.

Everyone said Mendes was going to destroy him once he got him to the ground. That didn't happen...

Connor was comfortable fighting off of his back and doing damage from the ground. All of Khabib's opponents freak out and try to get up off of their back, getting "mauled" in the process.

It's going to be a good fight.

Connor better be better than he has been for this fight. That Khabib dude is a monster on the ground

Khabib's issue will be that he doesn't really push for submissions, most of his fights are decisions and Conor has probably just enough Jiu Jitsu to protect himself from the onslaught. Watch the Mendez/McGregor fight if you want an idea how this one will look although I think Chad's takedowns are probably better than Khabib's.

Every moment they are on their feet Khabib is at extreme risk of getting KOd and on the ground he inflicts minimal damage IMO. I would put money on McGregor, all it will take is him stuffing a few takedown attempts and punishing Khabib in standup.

Mendez was grossly out of shape and took that fight on less than two weeks notice. Let's not forget he was beating CM up pretty good until he gassed and went for broke with a hail Mary submission that led to the KO. He even admitted his gas tank was empty and he went for broke to avoid another round. There a reason the UFC didn't risk losing their cash cow by giving Mendes a full camp rematch

I liked Conor for a while, but it's tough to listen to all his smack talk now considering he hasn't fought in 2+ years in the UFC. The press conference was essentially a whisley ad and I thought Conor acted like a child, even by his standards.

Khabib is a phenomenal wrestler but definitely leaves his chin up, which if he does in this fight, itll be over quickly. I think Conor's run is over in the UFC and I am not upset by it. Plenty of other great fighters out there that are much more likeable.

For those that don't know, Khabib was trained by his father for wrestling. This was him as a child. Russia is certainly a strange place.....
