It's been many years since making the switch, so hard to remember, but would say a few hours since I also did the Lincoln bracket mod at the same time.

Lincoln bracket mod?

OP, if you're planning on making above 500 RWHP of rethink doing this. Most of the cases I've read about (which I'm sure is a skewed statistic because no one complains when things are working properly) people are having problems because the waste spark ignition system doesn't work well with the COP's.

Yes, since doing away with the coil packs, you no longer need the bracket to hold them. Cleaner look.

Last dyno I put down 510RWHP, and no issues with spark. My tuner, Dave Guy never once mentioned an issue.
What exactly does the modification entail?

Here is the Lincoln PS fluid bracket I mentioned earlier. When you do the cop conversion, this also helps clean up the engine bay, as the 96-98 PS Fluid bracket has provisions for the coil pack.

Ah, I see. What models had this bracket?

Sorry, I don't remember exactly what years....but I seem to recall 94-96. Another tip, I only run Ford OEM coils.
