I think once this hits 1yr, its probably time to say you got screwed. That gives you about 4 days.

I wouldn’t say that at all. Steve while timeliness hasn’t been his strong suite since really getting out of the game does end up following through. His emailed me updates on just the plates out of the blue. I can’t see why he would waste the time if he doesn’t intend on following through.

I do agree on the disappointment on how long this has taken though. I bought one of the hoods in the first group buy and it’s still sitting up stairs.

hello everyone. thank you for your well wishes, thoughts and prayers. she's doing pretty well. had her first chemo treatment last week which was a little rough but she's a trooper. she has one every 3 weeks.

im told the hoods are en-route. unfortunately they didnt arrive by the end of the month as expected but they are on a ship and should arrive soon. ill see if they can get a more exact arrival date this week.

im sorta getting screwed/the run around on the latch kits being fixed. idiots cant seem to follow simple directions. they had to some minor trimming and then were not wanting to do it. when i posted those pics, i sent them back. i still havent received them and thought i wasnt going to and was scrambling to find another shop to take it over, which would take even more time. then i get a text that supposedly theyre being fixed and will be delivered. im hoping this week. im still working on a back up plan just in case though. so tired of dealing with unreliable idiots. cant even make a damn flat plate correctly. smh

thanks everyone for your extreme patience. i know its been a long haul. im not here to rip anyone off. if i was, id be taking money from people who have been PMing wanting to buy the extra hoods, and asking for balance payments etc... im not taking another dime until the hoods are HERE.

not sure im going to GBs for these again. theyve just become too messy. mostly my fault. trying to give people too much time to get deposits in and then lagging on getting the order going. if anything i would just take a few who are ready to go within like a 2 week period and then front the rest myself if i can. ill do the whole thing if i can, then just sell them off after theyre ready. if there is a next time. depending on interest and other things. and hopefully prices dont skyrocket due to tariffs.

thanks to UncleSam who lives near me and dropped off his 50/50 hood at my house yesterday so i could do final test fitting when the latch kits finally come back, if they come back.

anyone here work at or own a machine shop? just in case... or have access to water jetting

and....just in case the latch kits take a little longer, like before, once the hoods arrive, we can ship without the kit if you are a DIY and would like the hood asap. i can always send you the kit when its finally ready. or if you plan to use hood pins only and not the latch. that is an option for those that would be interested.

Steve, if there is an extra latch kit or write up on it (cant recall if there was one in this thread) I'd take one. Picked a hood up off someone that parted a car out.

good news all. ive been told the hoods have arrived. they may still need to inventory them but they are here.

also, supposedly.....the guy that was making the latch kits and had to do the corrections, has done them. still waiting to here. communication if iffy at best. (worse than me lol).

If you want your hood to ship asap and not wait on the latch kit, let me know. i can ship you the latch kit as soon as i have them. ill start contacting people for their balances that are due (if you have one). if you dont have the $ for shipping, you can hold off on that. at this point just the balance is due. normally i give 30 days to send it in but since i did some lagging myself here i will push that to 60 days. i have to pay the balance now, which ill put on a CC. after 60 days, you will have forfeited your deposit and your hood. no exceptions. if you decide you want to sell your deposit to someone else, that is fine, just shoot me a pm informing me. then that person has the remainder of the timeline to pay the balance.

i will go over my inventory to see what extras of what types of hoods i have left and return PMs to those that have contacted me.

Great news!!! What is involved and what tools are needed with installing the latch kit. Also what kind of delay will it be if we wait for the latches to be installed.

I’m also interested dependent upon when a spot becomes available for a 50/50, if anyone is still interested in selling their spot?

hey all, quick, short update. i got the latch kits back. hopefully tomorrow i can do some test fitting to make sure the corrections were done right this time. and of course, they didnt supply the rivets as promised so ill have to source those asap.
ill be working on PM's, etc this week. ill be in touch.

Standing by for my hood to have the latch kit installed. Will wait for my 50/50 to be assembled since it sounds like a rivet gun that I dont own will be needed for install, thanks again.
