That's awesome, never heard of this car before. I bet there's tons of stories like this from all the manufacturers that we'll never hear.

I remember that car being on TV, I didn't not know it was a quad cam. Makes you really thing what Ford (and others) have brewing in the basement.

I'm glad to see this car was saved from getting thrown away. Far to cool a project to scrap.


Cobra R hood to fit those two manifolds

The car was a mule for the 00R engine before it had the V10, hence the hood

"it was decided to shoe-horn it into a well-used silver '99 GT unibody that had previously seen duty as the test-fit mule for a prototype '00 Cobra R 5.4 (explaining its bulging R hood, which is not needed to clear the short-deck V-10)"
