Hey guys, I got a local buddy who’s been chasing me ever since I bought my car two years ago. He finally got a new blower, gen II 3.4 Whipple, and I’m curious. How do you think it will go, in a roll race scenario? Here’s the specs:

12 GT500 - stock motor, 3.73, VMP TVS gen 1, long tubes, fuel system, HE, ice box, e85 770hp
12 GT500 - stock motor, 3.73, 3.4 Whipple, long tubes, FIC 1000s, BAP, trunk ice box, e85
750hp

Runs will be 40-140

Curious to hear your thoughts.

Well considering you have him in the Hp, and you should already have him in torque it should be you.

Never know though.

Ive seen guys post better slips on here with the bigger blowers at same boost.

Well if he’s on a stock block you should eat him up. That 3.4 is efficient at that power level, not spinning it fast enough

If he had enough fuel system (he doesn't) to allow for more aggressive tuning, you'd lose.

As it is, he has one arm tied behind his back.

These are my thoughts currently. He needs a full fuel system to turn the wick up. But I don’t think his motor will handle everything that blower can dish out. I watched him lose by a car to a 650whp V the other night. Not impressed with his car so far.

Conversely, I ran away from an 800whp TT Coyote this past weekend. On3, 6R80 w/ converter, 14psi, e85. I will post the vid if anyone is interested. He spun on the hit he said but we did it three times, same result.

That's good to know about the Coyote as I have a friend ( who is on here and will probably see this) who I am supposed to run with this exact setup. id like to see the video!

Typical underspun, oversized blower results; a car that runs much worse than the dyno suggests.
