Sweet, any ideas on timeline yet??? The weather in Ohio is pretty Bi-polar and I would love to get it mounted before I put my Cobra up for the winter.

What Jay said...If they are in stock and the latch kits are in stock what is the time frame looking like from today??? I'm really starting to get a little worried here as it's been over a year or just about a year. Winter is on its way too....Steve?

Man can you get with Steve and see if there is an extra latch kit? Bought a BNIB hood or someone from the first GB.

Thanks

hey all,
sorry i havent been on. thank you Sam for posting up for me. i actually had to do some work on the latch kits myself. they fit great EXCEPT the holes for the rivets were a little too small. go figure. i worked on them the past few days and test fit it on sams hood and they are good to go! im going to ship the latch kits to ED asap so they can start putting them on the hoods and getting them ready to ship out. thank you all for your continued patience, i know its been forever and a day.

i will have a couple extra but first i need to take care of the people in this GB before i even talk to anyone else.

with me shipping the latch kits to ED this week, them having to install them, and wrap the hoods back up for shipment, and actually getting them shipped out, i anticipate they will start shipping out the week after next (ie the week of Oct 22nd). i will be contacting each person directly to confirm the shipping address. i also need an email address and a phone number as well. they wont process the shipment without a phone number.

as i have stated before and will state a again, and probably again. BE SURE to be present when the hood is delivered. do not leave it up to your mom or your neighbor. YOU should be there to open the box and inspect the hood for any shipping damage. if the hood is damaged, do not accept/sign for the shipment. it will be returned to ED and a replacement will be shipped out to you. if you sign for it, its yours. ive had people ask their friend/relative/ect and then when they get the hood they find out its damaged.

on the flip side, im talking about shipping damage. ie cracks or broken pieces. not a flaw in the cf weave pattern or some other kind of production issue that would have nothing to do with the shipping company's insurance.

these will by freight due to their size. no we cannot choose a delivery day or time or who the carrier is and no you cannot use your shipping company unfortunately. ED has a strict process on how they handle their shipping. once the hood is shipped, in a day or so i am sent the tracking info which i will then pass on to you. it typically takes about 5 days to arrive at its destination, depending on where you live. those who live closer to so cal will receive it much quicker. possibly before i even get the tracking info. i will try to keep you informed as soon as i know.

hey all,
sorry for the lag. its been hellish here with work. i also had to do some moving around of monies so i could get the balance payment in to ED, which i did this week. so theyre all paid for now, except for shipping. i also had to do a little extra work to the latch kits before sending them off to them. im hoping they've already installed them. sema is this week so hopefully the latch kits didnt get put aside but im sure theyre back on track since only a few people go to sema and they still have a ton of employees still working at the warehouse.

the first hood has been processed for shipping. *Jay* since he paid in full way back in the beginning.

im heading to sema tomorrow morning at 4am. but i wanted to hop on here to reply/send PMs before heading out at least. im only going for one night. ill be back home late friday night. so ill be back online checking in on saturday. i promise!! latch kits are done, balance has been paid, nothing left to drag things on still.

i figured the tariffs would eventually hit these so i looked into it. i got the reply back the other day that pricing is going up by 25% next year. that's a lot when you're talking $1k items. so.... ill probably wait to see if the tariff bs goes down again before even thinking about doing another batch. i really dont see people wanting to pony up that kind of $ for a hood.

so......if you're thinking about grabbing one of the extra hoods, do not wait. they may be a lot more expensive or may never even happen again. i imagine a lot of the parts we buy for our cars will start to get hit next year. hopefully it it returns to the way it was at some point. good thing we got this batch wrapped up before that all happened. i have no idea how it would affect orders already in progress but not shipped to the US yet. good thing we dont have to worry about that.
