As stated in my other post... blew my motor and need a rebuild. I found a set of avaitor heads for sale for $200 bucks. I know there’s a lot more involved, but I need some opinions.

Should I keep my Kenne Bell rebuild the block with forged rods and pistons, or sell it and swap to a c-head add in cams and use a terminator blower?

The Kenne Bell has 500 miles on it, and minus a few scratches from install is perfect.

I’ve found the avaitor heads for $200 and a termi blower for $700.

Problem with the B head Kenne Bell is you can never intercool it... But it depends on your goals as was already stated. If you just want 400-450hp then rebuild and go. Hell, get a Mark VIII engine and just drop that right in with a better tune and your Cobra cams. Done. Cheap. Works.

If you want more than that you are looking at a build and a different power adder regardless of what heads you go with.

Offtopic, but u blow the motor running 8psi, this with stock or forged internals?

If you are on a budget, maybe do the forged + Water/Meth injection...keeping everything else the same. I never liked the Kenne Bell kit on stock bottom end Cobras. Just about everyone I knew that ran this combo a year later was looking to do a rebuild. Build the bottom end, and add some meth injection and you will be happy. Not uncommon to see 500whp from that setup.

It only has a forged crank. None of the 4Vs had forged everything except the 03 Cobra and those had very mediocre "forged" pistons if you compare them to even a pretty budget Manley.

OP, stock crank, Boss rods, some decent pistons, slap it all back together and Meth if you are gonna stick with the KB on B heads or go C heads with the Eaton swap. Or stick with B heads and go Centri/Turbo.

Well reason I wonder is because KB adversises the kit with 6-7psi and 8-11psi (with octane booster). So I would assume KB has calculated that the original parts should be strong enough to handle those boosts (personally i disagree anything above 6psi running stock parts)...of course there is dozes of variables why rod could break anyways.

Octane booster=lol. Don't fall for that shit. Torco mix maybe but even then it can get sketchy. You want "octane booster" then run E85 or race gas.
