If the GT500 is $85,000 are you in or out?

I agree that ADM may be the sad reality, BUT I've always been a second year buyer for most purchases and I'm guessing I can find MSRP or better by early 2020 for a 2021?
So, let's wait til we hear real GT500/500R specs and MSRP before someone starts crying 'P-car value', which means nothing to American muscle fans anyway.

I like that.

How does it do in TTU?
Thanks!

It's been a very tough year. I changed enough of the car that I haven't been able to complete a weekend (car issues). I won't be competitive in TTU. It's just the class with the least amount of paper work. ;-) In my region, there's "racecars" in TTU.

I dunno any HC owners in my circle that wanted to trade in for 350 or even a 350R. They usually go C7 Z if anything. Then realize they miss their A8 in the HC Lol. Me personally, I'd go for the C7 Z vert as well but with the M7 if I wanted a corner carver with huge HP. The GT350 and 350R have a small customer market made up mostly of established Ford fan boys if you ask me. The GT500 can very well add to the base tho if the price and performance are there.

Ok I know one that did now. LOL.

What I was saying, is there anybody that came from a Porsche or new M3 to a HC? I’ve heard many stories of people selling there $100k plus sports car for the 350/R. Probst said the R was better than the GT4. A number of other journalist said it’s one of the best driving cars at any price point. The Porsche driving school even purchased one. I have yet to hear that type of praise from the HC/D/Z06/ZR1. With the C6Z being the closest....

The question is high power or driving experience?

HC circles are all about the HP and TQ. Staying on top in that category. That's the box in which HC owners primarily live. Not one of them can imagine moving down in HP and TQ. I'm a little different in the sense that I've had and have really good handling cars. The Boss 302 was really fun and the wife's Z51 is a joy to drive. I often remarked about how I missed the Boss and I often drive her Z51. So I guess deep down I am a driving experience kinda guy. The HC was/is great fun in straight line. It seems that did wear off after a while. Sure it was fun to matte the pedal and smoke nearly anybody around you but that is a short time and distance of euphoria. I find that in my R, the pleasure never ends. I've driven my neighbors Z06 A8 non-Z07 all day long. It handles very very well and it's got the power. Having no 3rd pedal sucked. That and the Z51 just made me realize that I enjoy myself more with the 3rd pedal. I could have gone with the Z06 M7 and have HP/TQ and handling but the R, well it's an R and not another Z tooling around town. I'm not being biased. That is a fact just from the difference in rarity between the two. The ZL1 1LE was on my radar but I can't get past the look enough to feel complete. Which is what were all striving for with our rides right?

I was saying that I don’t know if anyone who sold their 997 turbo or similar for the HC. I’m sure there are a few but I have personally heard of people selling their $100k+ sports car for the gt350/r.
Just recently a guy sold his 997 for the GT350 Track Pack. In the past that was seen as a downgrade(even with the 13 GT500). The GT350 drives that well on the street.

But you are correct there are many choices for cars with more power.

Now I can see why it's plausible to make such a move. So, I feel like I owe you an apology. Don't want to come off as a dick.

No worries. Some people just like the raw feel of tons of torque others just want to brag about what they have(ie. Kaneda). Neither of those will fit the GT3 or Scuderia or C6Z06 or GT350/R. With the latter they just love the exilerarion of pure driving feel. Beer!

Unfortunately, most GT350 owners are more interested in ceramic coating and talking about "what a great driver's car" instead of actually tracking it. I haven't been able to get a single GT350 owner give me a lap time at the tracks I go to. The GT350 isn't good in a straight line and gets shown up where it is supposed to shine. What kind of ceramic coating do you guys recommend again?
The other forum GT350 section has a lap data thread.

Having a hard time dealing with the regular GT prices. Me personally, I would never buy a mustang for that price. Don't care what model it is. and I am a die hard ford guy. Out.

The reality is the majority here can’t afford it. For top tier performance the market price is going to be $65-75k. That buys a car that competes with its American pony/muscle car segment while taking on import rivals at higher price points.
It is a market value price and can be considered a performance bargain depending what you’re looking at ADM non withstanding (yes ADM is BS).
This is no longer ‘03-04 days where the majority could afford the top SVT offering. Thankfully the performance pack GTs fill that void and the GT350 plays the middle ground.
The sticker on my new ‘04 Cobra was around $34k, not sure what that means in ‘18 dollars from inflation. Still the performance is another level so I don’t expect it to be in that price arena.
They’ll still sell everyone they can build at MSRP

About $46k. But then you add in the added performance, added safety features, technological advances, etc...

They wont start at $85k. Could a loaded, "R" model, MSRP at $85k? Of course, and they'd sell every one of them and majority would have ADMs. When the GT350R first came out, there were dealers asking and GETTING. $95k+ for them. Ridiculous, yes. But that doesnt change what they brought.

I imagine MSRP will start in the upper $60ks and will reach $85k-ish for a loaded premium, "rare", model.
