I'm thinking about taking a look at a 2017 with the PP. Do the 15-17's respond better to mods than the 11-14's?
I have a 2013 with LT Headers, a JLT RAI, midpipe and MagnaPac exhaust. No tune, bought the car almost 2 yrs ago with these mods. I don't drive it much but the mod bug has bit so I'm ready to do something, just not sure if I want to stay with the 13 or if it's worth it to trade the 13 for a 17.
My wife does not look the look of the S550's at all, it's okay to me. I kind of like the interior better on the S550's but I like the body style of the 13 better.

If I keep my 13 I plan on getting a hand held device and a tune and possibly looking at e85 or a 2018 intake manifold.

Thanks

Who has gone from a 13-14 to a 17? How do you like it, worth it or wish you would have kept the 13-14?

I went from a 13 to a 17 and I like it a lot better. Most of the reason is because I like to do track days and the S550 is a better set and allows a lot of adjustment. I am not sure there is going to be a big power difference if that is what you are looking for. Why are you considering a different car?

I have the, I want a new car bug, but I do like the interior of the 17 better than the 13 and the overall look of the car is starting to grow on me.
My 13 is a garage queen, I've driven it once in the past month or so. So I probably don't need a 17, but at the same time mine is only getting older and I'd like to stay newer'ish.
I'm thinking mod for mod the 17 will outperform a 13. I'm also more of a straight line guy.
Thanks for the reply.

It definitely will and considering the 2015+ motors are a lot stronger its nice to have the extra head room when you want to add boost.

15-17 motors do not respond “better” to mods than 11-14.

I went from a 2014, to a GT500, then to a 2018.

It can be argued that the 2018’s respond slightly better due to higher compression and dual fuel but probably just theoretical differences.

In real world a boosted 11-14 can be just as powerful as a 15-18 car although the 15-18’s have stronger rods than 11-14.

I love the interior of the 18 and much prefer it over my 14.

I do think the 13/14 cars look the best on the outside.

Thanks for the replies. That's interesting that you went from a 14 to an 07 to an 18.
I like the idea of the newer car and less mileage. The 17 has around 9,600K miles, my 13 has around 27K miles.
My 13 has some $$$ in the mods though, so there'd be somethings I'd miss about it for sure. The exhaust on this thing is very loud. And the power is great. But the newness is what's getting me right now. Wanting something new.

Impossible. JLT only sells tune required CAI. Also the longtubes need to be addressed in a tune due to the cats moving further downstream. Your car had to have been tuned before you bought it.

I’m sure it was tuned, but the car did not come with a hand held. So I have no hand held device or idea who tuned it.
I called the dealership to ask about the hand held but they didn’t have it.
