That was during my paint correction last summer, it was sorely needed and worth every penny. The jury is still out on the ceramic coat value and durability. It looks great but so does Collonite 845 and I trust its durability completely, time will tell.

I do a pretty decent job at detailing but I couldnt touch the swirls in the paint from the 3 previous owners. I didnt feel confident getting any more aggressive with my PC and compounds so I put a correction off for a few years. Now If I paint my RB hood I will have my bumper chips completely repaired and any other paint/metal blemishes I can find, shoulda did that before the correction but oh well.

Mine will be getting a correction next spring it’s put up for the winter. Some light hit or miss swirls and water spots on the part of the hood the edge you see while sitting in the car.

The day I picked her up in Colorado, flew from Arizona to get her..

Off topic but anybody know previous owner? I know it’s a long shot.. car spent the majority of its life in Virginia.. and I believe the last year or so in Colorado.. bought her in August this year.. it’s an 03 10th Anniversary. 2.9” pulley/stock lower, Magnaflow tips but muffler was Dynomax. Sequential taillight. Pioneer touchscreen..

i do notice that my sonic blue paint is much more fragile and susceptible to chips than my competition orange car.

that co is like a hard, durable enamel and seems to be able to withstand a lot of abuse, but the sonic blue is just sort of just like a very thin, light layer of metal-flake paint that can peel off easily.

Just do yourself a favor and make sure any and all paint chips/damage are taken care of before hand unless that is specifically included in your correction. Its gonna look great either way but now my eye gravitates towards that 1% of my paint.

Will have to look into that it’s got a couple tiny ones on the front bumper and side scoops.
