I dont think you will go wrong with a good set of Koni's. The Sports are a great monotube for the money.

As far as the springs go, i doubt the stock springs or pro-kit springs would be worse than the Sportlines. If anything they might add some better geometry for the steering(losing bumpsteer) and give a longer range of motion on the stock length dampers(both PP and monotube dampers). Only downside i could see would be with the pro-kit being progressive rate springs versus the stock/Sportline springs being a linear rate spring.

BTW, any interior shots of the shifter? I always wondered if a conversion would use the GT's auto shifter or if it had an aftermarket setup. Must be pretty cool to just put it in drive and blast off a 9 second pass. Just consistent each and every time.
Yes I was looking at the Konis or Eibach front coilover Kit. (Like super snakes use).
