Ya you can definitely rev it higher than that.
Im going back to the tuner and move up the rev limiter up to at least 7.8k.. now that im looking into it i have 2 friends here where im from that one has a CJ and revs to 8k, the other has an 18 mani and revs to 8.1k, and they have been on that set up for a while as well as they do track there cars frequently.

VMP did an intake swap not to long ago. You can find it on YouTube. Ported 2018 Manifold was the winner. And it's so much cheaper than CJ or GT 350!

Yes and they made the comparison in favor to market the 18 manifold. They only ported the 18 manifold and left everything else un-ported and they stopped the pull of the CJ at 7.3K which the CJ is just getting ready to take off at that point. Cobra jet will hold peak power to 8K RPM while others make it for that moment drop off.

Have your tuner set it higher. Mine is set at 8.2 I believe just in case I miss a shift. I shift at 7.8-8K with no issues. I would also look into a new tuner since you said the CJ started to drop off at 6900. If you're on facebook join the All Motor Coyotes group. Good people and knowledge in there.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback, I have been doing a lot of thinking lately, and i been contemplating switching to another tuner and see if that helps, TBH im not happy on how it peaked like that in power at 7.3, 7.4k or so, and why even have the limiter like that, that might be my next move, going to a different tuner.

update, I ended up porting the Cobra Jet and went back to the dyno and made the exact same whp lol, 445/385. decided to dump the car and run open headers and ended up making 460/400. finally saw an increase haha CJ is still peaking at 6600/6700 rpms even with limiter set to 8200 now

something is very wrong if you CJ is peaking at 6700, you should be peaking roughly 1000 RPM higher which is where all your power increases.
