That car has been for sale for over a year now IIRC.

However, prices do seem to be up. Seems like a lot of people asking $8,000-$12,000k for clean-ish cars around here.

The FOX guy at 40G's has been out there a while also.

10 grand seems to be the sweet spot.

Sn95 Cobras kick ass. But $19k for a low mileage is crazy even for a Mystic. You can get a low mileage gen 1 coyote for that. $14k is probably the most he could get.

Used to think the 94/95 Cobras were the best and I'd still get one if the price was right but it's hard to argue with the 4v.

2000 Steeda GT #0048. 4V swap, FTBR IRS swap, suspension/tune.

Also using KBB or Edmunds or whatever to gauge value on these things is a waste. Go look at what they are selling for in the svtp market. Done. Some markets will be outliers like Cali. And then that's just for ppl who can't afford a plane ticket and gas to drive home... Which means they probably shouldn't be buying in the first place.

I disagree. A low mileage collector SN-95 Cobra is worth more than a gen 1 coyote, especially a Mystic. The collector SN-95 is appreciating and the Coyote is depreciating. It’s apples/oranges. Both are excellent cars, but you buy them both for very different reasons.

I agree with you, but this guys car with 30k miles and mods probably doesn't meet that criteria.

The other problem with that guys car is that at $19,990 hes firmly in Termi territory price wise. And collectible as our cars may be at some point in the future, Termi's have that instant classic status. All things being equal but the generation, I think most people buying with collectability in mind would opt for a $19k bolt on Termi with a few more miles than a $19k blown low miles SN-95. Not to say that an SN-95 cant command a premium price in the collectors market, because they certainly can. But once its price creeps up like that, you gotta have a pretty convincing reason for someone to forgo a Termi. And I dont think this car really makes that case.

A 94 GT convertible sold at Barret Jackson for 30k. A 96 Cobra (Pace Car) edition sold for 18k as well at BJ. Granted the 94 was a wrapper car, but still values are creeping up. I could of bought a very nice Fox body GT for a few grand in the early 2000s. Now that same car is worth 10k.

Like anything, the less of these cars that are around, the more valuable they become.

Around here a salvage/rebuilt cobra roller (no drivetrain you bring the wheels) is 1500 easy. I got mine with a clean title for 4K delivered to me with an engine in need of polishing, new bearings, and reassembly. Sure it came with BBK LT's and X pipe but only after i discovered it was a crystal white car with a bad color change which allowed me to guilt the guy into throwing that in. I still need a throttle body, radiator, MAF, intake, and Lord only knows how many bolts are missing.

decent GT's are regularly listed at 4-5K and you won't get a clean cobra for less than 8 but the average is creeping up for sure.

I think they have been underpriced for so long because of what was considered an anemic powertrain followed by a much flashier model (the new edge) but I think people are starting to appreciate how clean they are when fixed up properly.
