Lightweight wheels that are strong yet lower costs

I’m looking at buying new wheels and tires for my 99 Cobra. I want to go with an 18” wheels and really like the style of the stock 2000 Cobra R, but am open to ideas from this experienced group. The replica wheels seem pretty heavy to me.

I’m looking for performance over style while keeping it within the budget. Aka... the carbon fiber wheels on the GT 350 R really help that car perform, but one of those wheels are more valuable than the whole car I have.

Recommendations? Thanks in advance too.

Only suggestion I can make is something a buddy did. He went on sites like tire rack and discount and looked at rims in the size he wanted that fit his car. Then he went with the lightest one he could find. I know they weren't expensive as he's not a big spender. And he's more about function over form. He did say that the rims made a big difference in how the car handled.

For me light means under 20lb. and cheap is $200 and under, here are wheels from Americas tires. cheap ,under 20lb in 18" size
You might be able to find other light Konigs on other sites that are reasonable, if I remember right Konigs were the go to wheels for many auto crossers because cheap and lite.

Not cobra r style but Enkei rpf1’s are really light, I think their 18x10.5 is around 19 lbs

Check out Apex wheels. They are a performance oriented wheel, good selection of sizes, and they have a good selection in the high $200- low $300 range.

If you can find a set, Steeda Ultralites/Konig Villians are 19# and look close to Y2K rims. About 25# with the tires. 18x9s. Here are mine.
