I'm replacing the water neck on my 14 coyote mustang to the 2015-17 water neck which allows use of the 2018 intake manifold without grinding. The overflow nipple on top do you just pull it out & reinstall? Any particular sealant necessary? Its not a threaded connection so thats the only way I see doing this and I'd rather not **** it up. Apparently this part doesn't come with the replacement neck so I need to reuse the old one. TIA

@Bill@HPTuners , did you ever find the right P/N for the overflow nipple? I'm in the same predicament as you.

I will also be ordering the mounting bolts:
M6 X 27mm Bolt -(W503278-S437)
and
M6 X 48mm
(-W716702-S437)
or
(-W503283-S437)

Interestingly, the bolts are not listed in the radiator breakout parts diagram for the 2015-2017. But I found them under the 2018. For the one bolt, a different # is cited for the GT350 vs the GT. I will order both since either is only $1.56. No outlet nipple listed anywhere. Strange.

It doesn't. Got mine from Tasca and it is bare other than the o-ring. The Motorcraft box isn't even big ennough to fit a neck with the nipple installed.

This is the correct part number for the 2015+ water neck with nipple. I just finished the install of a 2018 intake on my 2014
FR3Z-8592-A.

Also you will need a shorter bolt for that rear position. I dont have the part number in front of me but if your installing the 2018 intake, just use one of the bolts that held down the Canister purge solenoid to intake. Its the same exact bolt as the shorter water neck that you will need. The Dayco hose I used to re-install the purge solenoid is 87000. Looks cleaner than what I saw others using online.

Side note...Car pulls like a bansee on the top end. Doesnt stop pulling to 7500 rpms. Best mod to date. No loss in torque to me. Mid range feels stronger also. Only power mods to date are off road x pipe, Lund flex tune and now 2018 intake manifold. I did do a mild port job to the runner exits before installing.

They have it on rock auto with a picture. Motorcraft is not the same as oem ford parts from the dealer.

The correct bolts show for me when looking them up as a 2015 5.0L. Its the one labeled HB2. Also you can re-use the taller bolt from the old water neck. No need to order both.

I'll have to go back and check the box. I ordered it under the Ford# but the box had it both the Ford# and the RH228 on it. It was a low profile rectangular box that only fit the neck. Unlike the square box above.

I'lI order it from RockAuto and see if I can return the other one. Thanks to all!

Ok. I figured out what the issue is.

Under the parts breakdown on the TascaParts & White Bear Lake sites for a 2015 to 2017 Mustang GT, it shows the FR3Z-8592-C in lieu of the FR3Z-8592-A. The Motorcraft numbers are RH-232 and RH-228 respectively.

The -C does not include the nipple and -A does.

Interestingly, it does show the -A under the GT350R and the F-150.

When I do a search on the -A on either site it will show the list of vehicles it fits and all varieties of Mustang are listed.
