My current setup is a 99 GT body with a 99 Cobra motor, the SLP Loudmouth II cat-back, the MAC Off-Road Pro Chamber mid pipe, and stock headers. Does anyone happen to know if BBK 1-1/5" Ceramic long tube headers should fit? I'm assuming so, but just want to make sure. Also, if anyone has any other recommendations for different headers please let me know. Thanks!

The engine compartment is the same between the GT's and Cobras. As long as the headers are for the 4V you should be good.

Longtubes require a modified mid-pipe to work. Either you’ll have to buy a matching mid pipe for whatever header system you use or you’ll have to have an exhaust shop modify your current mid-pipe to accept the headers.
I wouldn’t put anything the says BBK on any of my cars. Since you have a Mac mid pipe you might as well look at the Mac headers. But the good stuff is Kooks.

BBK stuff is bad quality? Not what I've read, or my experience. Or is there another reason you won't put anything BBK on your car?

My stock fuel pump went out in my cobra about 2 years ago. I replaced it with a BBK 320 lph fuel pump which had great reviews, and it has been running flawlessly ever since. I have no idea what their headers are like though.

If their header quality is anything like their fuel pump quality, I would run them no problem.

I’ve not been impressed with anything they make, and my experience with them isn’t good either. But if you like them more power to you, buy what you want. Just be aware you’ll need a matching mid pipe or your current mid pipe will need to be modified to make the longtubes work.

Make sure they are for 99-04 4V as the 96-98 have different exhaust port. BBK would be the last of the last parts I would put on a modular car. The issues we have had over the years is a massive list. Pushrod stuff not as bad.

Mac is better for the price. I’ve done a few bbk installs and have yet to have one fit without having to persuade it to work. Pacesetters even fit better

I'll stay away from the BBK headers then. I've read good things about the Mac headers and I like the sound from the prochamber... that is likely the route I will go in the future.

Right now the BBK fuel pump & hat is the only BBK part on my car, but it is a high quality unit IMO. It eliminated the PPRV valve and my car runs noticeably smoother with it installed vs the stock fuel pump. It dropped right in, no problems, and it was plug n play.

I'll look into the pacesetters. I like the price of the Macs. If I was OP, I'd be leaning toward the Macs since he's already got a prochamber.

BBK fuel pump is playing with fire and hopefully you do not get burned. Their quality is a step up from SR... not saying much and BBK is retarded overpriced. Like seriously they charge a ton of money for their parts and its not worth it. Their catted pipes for example, they do fit well but they are like $500 almost. a UPR is half that, fits better, has more clearance and quality is as good or better. Talk to users of their throttle bodies, half of them have issues with leaks, sticking and idle problems. Then again, ppl who bolt on a TB, especially to a NA 4V expecting to gain power are jackasses. BBK longtubes do fit well but their ceramic coating is shit and they literally decided to dent one of the primaries on their longtubes to make it clear the Mustang steering shaft vs making it fit properly. Even Pacesetter clears without doing that... Speaking of...

Pacesetters fit great surprisingly and their Armorcoat longtubes are not bad for the $450 you pay plus the slip fit is nice. By far the best budget option for headers. As for a catted pipe not being available... Install their offroad pipe and then take it to an exhaust shop. Make sure that the shop won't freak out that you are driving an "illegal" car into there before you get the work done. Recommend Magnaflow cats to get installed. Or just go with the MACs if you need a catted pipe right off the bat.

Have you run their fuel pump / hat combo? I have the 320 lph version.

Well, I've been running it for two years and I haven't gotten "burned" yet. I did a lot of research when I had to drop the tank and I wanted to eliminate the PPRV valve. I think I paid around $300 and it is a quality pump with a nice looking hat that was virtually identical to OEM.

No regrets here.

I asked about their headers because I have no experience with them, but I do like their fuel pump / hat combo. Based on responses from others, I'll be avoiding their headers.

I won't make myself a guinea pig for BBK parts so no lol. If it hasn't had issues by now it's likely fine. Just too many issues with everything BBK for me. YMMV.
