The only way this could gain any traction would be to involve the LBGT community with some sort of discrimination claim. Kaneda could take the lead here. If that didn't work, try racism. Start with a call to AOC's office and scream bloody murder.

Some of you didnt notice where i mentioned this was "for fun".

Now back on topic:
I do like the discrimination angle. Thats the kind of out of box thinking we need to solve this problem!

Now we just need a lawyer to start a class action suit against the dealerships.

Bwahaahahhahahahahahahhhhhaaaaaaaa
And some of you guys are proud card carrying members of the ADM club too.

Which is cool, I make my living in the free market too. I just choose to spend my free cash a little wiser. Which of course is just my opinion as well.

OK, here's the plan. Kaneda walks into the dealership in typical Kaneda garb. Embroidered loafers, skinny jeans, T-shirt with some sort of underlying homoerotic message, and demands a GT500 be bequeathed unto him for MSRP or less. Once denied, he shows them pictures of himself. When that fails to gain any traction he can come back here and post numerous threads chock full of mindless drivel that detail why he is overcome with butthurt that is somehow all the dealer/Ford's fault. The social media campaign against Ford and their wicked ways can then begin. This will be unstoppable and Ford will eventually relent and allow everyone to buy direct from them and at MSRP.

Plan B? Buy a Dodge.

If they can overcharge the fools that are willing to pay it, more power to them. I have never paid an ADM nor will I.

Like the Ford GT?? No ADM there. All the mark up will come in year 3 when individuals can charge what they want. I guess that will be Ford's fault also.

you forgot to add that he doesnt have the down payment + credit to even afford it, thereby hes a victim of financial discrimination

Not all dealerships add ADM's to the price. During the 2013-2014 GT500 production, many got their cars at sticker like me,I ordered mine, or slightly less. If you want one, you will have to find a dealership that first of all has a few allotments for the 2020, not all get them, and order one for yourself. If the dealership orders it for their inventory, it is more likely that it will be a showroom trophy and will place an ADM on it.

Just an aside, my dealership had a 2017 convertible GT Mustang sent to Shelby American last year to give it the Shelby GT upgrade. $57,00 base price $40,000 upgrade and a $9,000 AMD. It sat for a while in the showroom but someone eventually bought it for over the upgraded price. They do this with the Raptors too. $100,000+ with the Shelby upgrade and they sell them. To whom, I don't know. They know they can sell them.

I like it but with one specific change that may just have a better result. Kaneda walks in just as you described but with a Johnny Cochran type lawyer and threatens discrimination litigation. "If the price don't fit you get lit".

My local dealer is taking names, throwing them in a hat and will draw two who will then get their first ones at msrp. They will draw them when they get the official allocations. Thought that was kinda cool. Said they refuse to add adm's on anything

That is awesome! They should be getting a lot more than two though. It will be allocated like the GT350 was.

They only wanted to promise what is more or less 100% for sure, another thing I respect coming from a dealership

Kelowna ford. Bros bros adm everything.
Did they recently become a Shelby dealer? I know Orchard Ford is a Shelby dealer.

p.s. the owner of Brown Bros is a member here and I am sure he does MSRP deals if you deal with him direct. I almost bought my boss 302 at his dealer.

I'd be surprised if a dealership got more than two allocations.

Pete
In Canada we get a lot more allocated to each Shelby dealer because it is limited to around 30 dealers. When the GT350 came out, all the dealers near me got at minimum 20+ GT350s. Getting a MSRP(or better) deal wasn't impossible when these came out here.
