Please help, as I had a mechanic who has absolutely ruined my car. According to him he installed 2 Walbro 450's and bypassed the FPDM with the wiring that Lund has stated is not a normal way to wire. According to the mechanic the car runs great just the boost drops during a pull for data logging but the car doesn't actually drive at all. It was towed from his shop and it wouldn't crank when I received it. I used a jump box and it will crank but, if you touch the gas it will choke itself out. I am not sure what he has done and I am looking for any help. PLEASE HELP!!! What should I look for, what can I check etc.

Check fuses and check the fuel cut off switch.
What size pumps may need to go up 10amps on the fuse.

Did they switch it to a return style system or just replace the pumps in the stock hat?

From the sounds of it they just replaced the pumps in the hat and is running the pumps full tilt and the pcm cannot control fuel pressure thus wont start?

Ya is it return now? Cause if not you kinda need the fpdm or you're going to have major issues. Pumps at full tilt with nowhere for the pressure to go may be causing the injectors not to open.

It still amazes me that people will send their cars to shops that have little to no reputation for working on said car. A "mechanic" can mean a lot of things.

Not all are like that, just the ones who are truly good and stand up command a premium.

Yep, that's my point. However, there are PLENTY who command a premium and suck. That's a pretty shitty combo and the general public constantly gets taken advantage of by people like this guy. Amazing the car wouldnt even run and had to be towed back home from the shop!? Unreal.

Not going to disagree. I've seen it first hand. Walked out of shops because I wasn't comfortable with the company ethics.

If he doesn’t have a brick and mortar shop, and insurance, he’s not a mechanic.

Cuz some schmuck slapped mailbox letters on his accord doesn’t make him a mechanic, blows my mind this shit still happens.

Hate to say it, but people are so willing to trust if you sound like you know what youre talking about and you have a low price....

Never understood how a car guy , knows nothing about working on his own car.
I learned to rebuild the lawn mower at 10 , just to be able to do my chores , and keep my old man off my ass.

Agreed with this! Esp when said non car guys try and argue with people that actually know what they are doing because of something they read or their "gt500 consultant" told them otherwise. lol
It does amaze me though on facebook gt500 groups guys asking what fluids they should change when their car is at the dealer for inspection. Like seriously. . .
