Was a Ford man and then sold and bought GMC's, went back to Ford when I got out of the sales gig. The auto 4x4 was one feature I missed. GM can't touch the 3.5 TT even with the 6.0 and has no tanker gas tank.

The 6.2 will lay straight waste to the 3.5tt the 6.0 is just a workhorse

Im not brand loyal but if GM went back to offering the 6.2 in lower level trucks like the SLE. Them Ford would be in trouble. That engine is beastly as hell

I'd put my Yote 18' A10 SCrew up against a 6.2 truck all day.

With TCS on, on 35's, on a warm day, it'll lay waste to the BFG's through 4 gears.

This is after pulling the 65 on a steel car trailer like it was a feather.

Then when i'm feeling froggy it'll straight up stomp some ass in a roll race on the way home.

These new 5.0 trucks are no joke.

I had 2 old men in crew cabs drag my extended cab trucks all over the place to the point i just don’t even look at them anymore.

Oh for sure. Im just busting WeatherMan balls for going to Ford from GMC ( gay man chevy). GM severely neutured the new 6.2/10sp combo. Its actually slower than the previous 6sp and 8 sp configurations. It’s great times for truck guys. We got tons of options and trucks that will take out most cars

Umm i agree the 6.2 is a nice motor but in terms of performance and towing in no way does it touch the 3.5TT.

I agree the 6.0 was a work horse and GM most reliable modern day engine.

Much like fords 6.2 a work horse an very reliable

As far as towing goes the 3.5 drags everything like it was nothing at all. The 6.2 has to be fed some rpms. Now the Tundra towed a space shuttle.

All things being equal i would get rid of the f150 and get a PowerWagon

My old 2006 Expedition had it, and the 2009 Expedition I drive at work has it. I always keep it off. The only thing I'll say about those two over my 2014 F150's "manual" 4x4, is the Expeditions engage much, MUCH faster.

The shackles look great @Weather Man. I wish i had knew about them years ago. Its seems like Chevy have always been squirrelly in the rear and those would have settled it down

I bought my first set when Goodyear used to make them. I thought I was screwed when they stopped, but this company picked up the product line. I install in every pickup I buy. They do just a phenomenal job controlling stutter bumps.

Sulastic. Leaf Spring Shackle (2015-2016)&year=2016&motor=&viewmode=list

Had a 01 and 04 reg cab shortbed 2wd chevy. Unloaded the back would bounce and jump like a mofo. Had I known about these shackles i would still have the 04.

Good find sir. I will definitely look into putting a set on my next pickup

Not a big deal but I do use my auto 4wd a lot when traveling on the highway if the roads are bad.

I spoke to soon. My 18' Screw has 4k miles on it. Time for an oil change. Decided to check the oil out of curiosity before I drop it off tomorrow.

Not a single drop on the stick. 100% bone dry. Things gotta be 4 qts low.

Had oil in it about 1500 miles ago.

If it needs a motor, Ford or the dealer is buying it back. I will not keep it. Essentially ruins the trucks value at that point now since warranty work/engine repairs show up on the carfax/vin reports.

I think 1 full quart can drop you off the stick, buy some cheap oil and get the answer.

the 18 trucks have plastic oil plans and they had enough leak issues that they were actually putting on "diapers" over the k-member at the factory.
