Will the 2020 GT350 remain a manual transmission or will they offer the new automatic. What your opinion on this? Will there be a 2020 model?

It'll remain the manual.
The GT500 will be the automatic track car, while the GT350 and GT350R cars will have the manuals.

What automatic?
You mean Tremec’s new DCT?
Quite honestly it would make the 350/350R the ultimate track weapon.
Even pro drivers are faster with the DCT.
I doubt it’ll happen, but I’d love to see Ford add 30+hp with dual fueling and the DCT to the real track Shelby.

Not gonna happen. Maybe a few years down the road. But the gt500 will be having special only parts that will not be on the other models for a couple years.

I would too! Granted I still would prolly take the manual. I would love to drive a GT350 with a dual clutch

Agreed! I'd love to see a DCT swapped 350 at least.

Yes....and

Video Arcade Dash, station wagon version, and brakes that dont squeal and have dust.

Yes I am old and dont want it messed with. It is a driver car not a rider car. I dont care if it is 8 milliseconds faster at the Nuremberg Ring and 4 seconds faster at Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday night test and tune. It just dont matter, I would not own it with an automatic or dsg or lmp or what ever you want to call a transmission that shifts by itself.

I realize I am the dinosaur, but I almost traded the X5 a few weeks back for a Focus RS and if I had, we would be a family with four manual transmission cars.

There won’t be a 2020 gt350. The video he said the gt350 and gt500 will be out at the same time. He meant the 2019 gt350 and the 2020 gt500.

I understand how you’d say that from the vid and I agree 2019 is possibly the end for the 350, with the 500 being late release in 2019, there’s still a chance for 2020 GT350 in that Ford hasn’t said either way.
I have thrown around idea of a 2019 350R if it is the last year. I really like the 2019 changes and that R interior. I also hope the blue 350 in that YouTube is Performance Blue. Either 350 or 500 in that color, black roof, stripe delete has my initial choice.

The way I took it was Jim Owen clearly said they’ll be in the showrooms at the same time.
Ford is not going to build MY 2020 500’s at the same time as MY 2019 350’s. So I would take that as there will be a MY 2020 350

I hopefully so Dave. Other interpretation is this year in fall there will be both 2019 350s and 2020 500s in the showroom at the same time even if not same MY.

I hope the FPC motor lives on paired with a DCT and electric hubs on the front. Composite suspension for weight reduction. I'd like it to handily beat GT3 RS and McLarens. Evolution of the GT350

I heard specifically that ford is committed to gt350 through 2020. Maybe I misheard.

Agreed, that’s what he said, but then he walked it back and said this fall we’ll see both 350 and 500. All Ford has really said was that there will be both in the showroom together for the first time since 1970.
It is strange with the 2019 updates narrowing the R gap, my money is that if GT350 lives in 2020, that the 350R won’t.
We will wait and see.
