I wrote a nice post listing all the mods then lost it haha. So I’ll be lazy. Sold my cobra a few years ago and bought this. She’s ugly and she’s a project but. I love it.

Well I have 2 kids now so the income to throw at a car isn’t what it used to be. With this one I just wanted a nice cruiser that looks good and sounds good and is reliable. It already has a few upgrades to make it fun but nothing big. It’s getting an Explorer Intake, GT40 iron heads, and a Comp cam. I’m hoping to have it painted by the summer and I’ll finish the interior after that.

Thanks I still check in on here pretty often. This car has a few mods but I’ve done a lot to make it nice. Replaced window guide bushings, polished the guide rods, new moisture barrier and sound deadener. I also put in all new speaker and the AMP and new head unit soon. I’m be adding one of the new cup holder center consoles since I don’t need an ashtray.

Very nice OP. I have been really wanting to pick up a fox body lately. If i can find one in “ok”condition i might have to pick one up for a project car

I deff do not have the funds for a coyote. Esp since I’d want the car to have PS and AC. If anything maybe down the line it’ll get some sort of 351 swap. But for right now I just want to do small stuff so I can enjoy driving it. I just got it back on the road after being parked a year while I was collecting parts and doing the 5 lug and cobra brake swap.

Here are some old pictures. When I first got the car I stripped the carpet out to make sure there was no rust (there wasn’t). I cleaned the floorboard and put poor mans dynamat down. While I was at it I took the door panels off. Replaced the backing board which made a huge difference. I also removed the window guide rods. Cleaned them, polished them and regresed them. I then installed new plastic moisture barrier and more frost king on the doors.

Also I used to get bad exhaust fumes in the interior partly because it had no tail pipes which has been fixed. But also because there was a hole above where the fuel pump goes in the trunk. I covered the hole and since there was nothing sealing the interior up I made this.

As far as suspension goes. It has cut springs in the front from the previous owner. And ST lowering springs in the back. Subframe connectors, Monroe shocks, poly sway bar bushings and end links. Has all stainless brake lines. 93 cobra master cylinder. Wilwood proportioning valve. It has an LMR bumpsteer kit. Cobra rear brakes. PBR dual pinston front calipers (just no cobra logo). I also painted brackets and calipers

Well it was originally Titanium Frost. But I’m about 50/50 between a dark blue like Kona or the period correct Royal Blue and White. White paint was more $$$ whennI priced it out but something about the white and the dark trim and all that I’ve always liked.

I’ve also thought about dark metallic grey. We shall see. I’m hoping to have it done by the end of the summer.
