Whoa, wonder how that got started.
Awful. Rumor spreading now is it was started from construction work. Could you imagine being the person that accidentally started that fire?

Wow, one of the first places we visited in 1985 on a 2 week school trip to Europe.
The news is reporting it took almost 2 hours to get fire fighters on scene.

Roads are narrow and traffic is horrible. Doesn't surprise me. Also wouldn't surprise me if they didn't actually fight the fire and just let it take over. It is France after all.

Your second scenario is probably right. The first is just excuses or complete incompetence IMO.
A French politician called in and started to elude to what I suspect was terrorism and Shepard Smith hung up on him. Dude reported that church vandalism has been a weekly event since the beginning of the year.

Wow... went there as a kid a few times while visiting my aunts in Paris. What a horrible thing to have happened. The amount of destruction must be unbelievable.

Is that what it was?? I was watching Shepard Smith when he called but stepped into my kitchen and totally missed what he said. I walked back into the living room when Smith was lecturing him saying "nope, not on my watch''' blah blah blah.
