Anyone know or use to own this gt500?

Hey all,
Trying to figure out if anyone can identify this 08 gt500 for sale currently in Rome GA guy selling it seems pretty eager to get rid of it after only owning it for a short period of time and is willing to have it ran through the ford dealership. He doesn’t know much about the car either so hoping to find out more info. If not I may pass on it.

08 white w/blue strips was sold to current owner from heritage Nissan in Floyd county GA car now has 62k miles but current owner has only put around 3k on the car. Has extensive mods and will attach photos.

Do you guys suggest datalogging and reviewing the results? Compression check? OP - do you have tune info / dyno sheet / complete mod list and service history?

So guy didn’t get the tuning device with the car when he bought it from the dealership. So not sure who tuned it and unable to review and data log with it. Also no full mod list either.

Only the wipple, cai, long tubes, exhaust, 4.10 gears and 720whp is what he was told when he purchased.


Which is y I am hoping to find someone who knew or owned the car prior to the current owner. I was figuring with all the mods they would have been on a forum.

Current owner has taken multiple pics and vids and has agreed to have the ford dealer check/inspect the car ford anything obvious, perform a coolant pressure test, compression test, power balance, and scan for any current dtc etc and provide the results prior to me even driving to go see the car.

I do have a hand held device for codes and will allow me to monitor all the pids while it runs and drives to alteast monitor knock and spikes of fuel and duty cycle of the pumps, temps, etc.

My hope of to at least figure out what injectors r in, who tuned the car, and has it had a clutch or anything internal to the engine. It’s obvious to see the rest.

If I did buy it would be the ride straight home and then parked till I can figure those thing out and order a device and get the car re tuned so then I at least know it’s properly tuned.

Car does have working gauges and wideband installed btw.

With having it checked out, buy if price is to your liking.

Ok update previous owner did live in GA also and bought the car around 53k miles and owned until 60kish miles from 07/2018 - 02/2019

Sub'ing..

Compression and leak down test will tell you the health of the motor. If you can, plug in your tuning device and look at knock and a/f trims. Have him go WOT and see what it does with the fueling and knock sensors. If it passes that, no reason why not to buy it.

Yea, never mind I do not have 40k+ to spend on a car lol not even close to that my wife would kill me if I didn’t kill myself 1st for spending that kinda money on a car
