hello everyone. newish to the site, and finally own a mach 1. well, new mach 1, have had a couple 70s in the past.
a brief hello, and a couple questions.
pre-ordered an azure blue stick in 2002, eneded up with an f-150, and have always kinda looked for a mach. finally decided it was time, worked out financing/downpaymet etc. should be going to pick up my 2003 zinc yellow stick by the end of the week.
car has less than 50,000 and some nice upgrades, 31spline 4:10, msd 2 step, trans has been reworked, lowered, and terminator spoiler. also come with a bama, a CAI in the box and full exhaust (long tube headers). that is going to be a fun install....
and a couple questions. anyone have experience with the bama tuner/advice.
also, with the bama, i should be able to remove the step 2 msd limiter?
header gasket suggestions?
and, is there a source for the magnum rims in 10.5 ?
car has 8/10.5 now, but they are black frp style, they look tough on the car, but part of what i liked about the mach, was the factory wheels.
thanks in advance........

Stock header gaskets

I’d advise against the Bama tune, they don’t have a great reputation

The 2 step and tune are standalone things. You can remove the two step without needing a tune change if that’s what you mean.

The stock style wheels in 10.5 width are through AFS and only seem to be available every once in a blue moon

Congratulations on buying your Mach 1. Sounds really nice. And welcome to SVTPerformance.

How far are you from Livernois Motorsports in Dearborn Heights?

dsg, was wondering if i can tune in a rpm limit, and remove the msd all together. i think the msd only kicks in under full clutch pedal.
ahhh.... just answered my own question. msd for launch, and tune in full time limit with tuner.

It has been awhile, and I have been looking around, what is the crank cap configuration on these. 4 bolt caps, and 5 are cross drilled?
Also, I there a break down somewhere by color and transmission?

the mach1registry website I believe has break down of color, transmission and IUP, no IUP breakdown. I think the only thing you can't really figure out is IUP/non IUP by transmission

Used JJbest for the finance, Hillary forgot to mail the check out.... Uggh. I will not be picking up the MACH today. But, have tracking and transportation arranged for Monday! Will post a few more pics then.
But, another question, will be traveling across state to get the car home.
What RPMs can I expect on the highway with 4:10s
And, do these cars run hot at all?
Had a 96 cobra that was warm blooded.

Traveling across state in an unfamiliar sports car during a rain storm..... Add in a mysrtery gear, check engine light, and loaded up with headers, x-pipe springs etc. makes for an interesting ride. But, car is home!
Got some questions for you seasoned Mach owners.
First one, 80mph on the speedo
Actuall speed 70mph
@2400 rpm
4:10 gear?

Another question, going to be a few things to figure out with this car, will be looking into the tuner over the weekend. But for now, found 2 recipts for oil.
15w30. Sound right to any of you?
And what would be the basis of using that weight.
Thanks
