Very nice find. :) It's a rare gem.

How long have you owned it? Is it a US import or gray market import?

Sold from a Porsche dealer about 100 miles from me in 89. My godfather bought it new, father bought it from him in 94. I keep it clean and keep an eye on maintenance. US model, 1 of 60 in 89 sent to USA.

Also, 1 of only 160 total US imports. :)

That is a definite keeper. Any idea how many of the US imports still exist?

It definitely is, I think it’s one of sexiest cars on the planet. I’m not sure how many are left. I know a customer of mine, who’s a big Porsche enthusiast, owns a factory 88 model. We actually have his high dollar 959 replica in the shop for a partial engine rebuild, and other repairs/mods.

I knew this day would come. Hail damage on all of them. Even the wife’s explorer that she was out in. The Lightning was the only thing in the garage. The largest was golf ball size so maybe they can do dent less repair. Still makes me sick. They are covered in dents.
That's horrible.
I would be literally sick to my stomach. Good luck!

Well boys, she’s here!! Unloaded her off the carrier today and into the garage!

Already swapped on my 13/14 tail lights. Hahaha.
I won’t lie gents - I shed a tear when she came off the carrier.
This car is an absolute animal. I can’t wait to get it registered and on the road.
Currently makes 638/606 to the wheels.
Lots of mods coming soon.
Planning on Cams and long tubes this summer.
Very nice man! Congrats!
Good call on the swapped out taillights. She gonna look good with the full '13/'14 conversion!

I am sick about it. I’m worried about all of them being fixed correctly but more so about the Roush. All the insurance company will see is a GT VIN since Roush is an aftermarket. We will see I have a date with the insurance company on Saturday. They want to write me a check on the spot which concerns me some. I’m on the lookout for a good body shop. It gets so crazy when things like this happen and I worry about the quality of work being done. I might wait a few months to get them fixed.

Yeah, that wicked sucks man.
I think the insurance company cuts you a check, but if it's more money, the insurance company will pay the shop the difference if I am correct.
