I do get a kick out of how severely angry people get when you tell them you have ZERO interest in travelling europe.

I don't get angry, just slightly confused. There's countless things of every aspect of life to see do there...but I do grasp people have different opinions. Some folks are happy seeing several NFL games a season in person and that I would consider a waste of money just like they don't want to go to Europe. Everyone does vacation their way. Plenty are happy visiting a shithole tourist trap called Myrtle Beach year after year, but to each their own.

Thing is I live in a vacation paradise so I have no need to go anywhere. Wont say I wont get the itch when I'm older but i've had friends damn near yell at me for not wanting to go travelling 10x a year. If you need to travel that much you are living in the wrong part of the country.

Spent the holidays in Prague, Vienna, and Munich. If I were doing it over again, I'd do it in warmer weather and spend more time in Prague and Vienna. Prague because it's a great place with cool people and it's cheap as ****. And the gardens would be amazing in season. Vienna because it's a cultural center like no other. The art, the music, the museums...amazing. But Prague. Six of us had a great dinner and about 6 or 7 rounds of drinks. Tab: $150. Same dinner in Vienna or Munich would have been $600.

Paradise to you, I cant picture anywhere in canada being paradise. To me paradise is warm water, aint no warm water in that tundra.
Can you even drive your car year round? If answer is no, no thanks.

My vote is spain, ive been to Ibiza and San Sebastian, food is phenomenal in San Sebastian. People that never travel outside the US, I feel sorry for. One day they'll get it. :)

**** West Europe. Expensive, dirty, expensive and all the cool shit is covered in Chinese tourists, Africans and Arab immigrants trying to sell, scam and steal from you. Was just in Milan last year and *barf*.

If you want an awesome cultural and historical experience, Eastern Europe is the place to go.

Better value, better service and still culturally unique with just gobs of history. Only problem is most of your coworkers aren't going to get a raging boner when you say you went to St. Petersburg or Krakow like they do for Paris and London.

As a European, you are spot on.
Don't forget Prague, in Czech Republic. Suppose to be on of the most beautiful cities in all of Europe. Everybody I know that's been there has loved it.
Myself, I don't like to travel...

Air Force and haven’t been to Europe!

Lived in Landstuhl for 2 years while served my time at Ramstein. I toured a lot of places but never got my stuff together to tour Eastern Europe. Furthest east I got was Innsbruck Austria. I did all of this 10-12 years ago when I was 23-26. When I say toured, I mean, I did a lot of drinking and that’s about it.

Today me; I’d go to Greece, Rome and Vatican City.

Actually...you're wrong. American has the stereotype of being set in their ways and not liking change. There's a reason so few Americans have a passport. I live in FL and work in the tourism industry. I see it all the time. It's often southerners. They are all of 4-8 hours from their house, and bitch about "we should have just stayed home" or "I forgot we ain't in the south no more" or "This just ain't right" because something isn't 100% exactly as they have it in their city and even "I don't know why we even came here" because sweet tea wasn't a drink option in a high end steak house.

Those folks don't need to visit Rome, London or Paris and give us a bad name.

This is spiraling into a Kiohtee/Screw Rice sized incident. Hopefully early intervention can save you two from a never ending battle thread. Maybe I can help.

At 23 I was staying at a campsite in Switzerland for the night. (Note Europe content so this is not a thread hijack). Around a campfire tourists from many nations talked, drank, argued and enjoyed as people do. Then Elizabeth arrived. The most beautiful girl I ever saw. Before or since.

I was able to best her in a battle of wits (as judged by the Israeli tourists who know about these sorts of things). She was 21, from Southern California and rewarded me with a humping that was beyond anything I could have imagined.

I spent the next summer cruising and hang gliding around California. Never did find Elizabeth although i did save an old guy from being murdered by a mad marine. Old guy had a weird name....Liberace. Turned out he was a professional piano player. Who even knew there was such a thing?

Anyway, also spent many summers in the Okanagan area of British Columbia. So I know both.

@Serpent's California has slightly better looking women than @blk02edge's BC and a bit better winter weather. Slight advantage California.

Both have vineyards and orchards. A draw here.

BC has fewer special govt regulations, fewer lunatics and has Washington, Idaho and Montana on its southern border. Big win BC.

Overall, you'd have to go with blk02edge's BC for the victory.

Hope this puts it to rest.

Prague is indeed very beautiful if you can get over the general dirtiness. But, I find the same two things true of most of the old Eastern European cities. I thought Budapest was outstanding, as well, for instance.

California absolutely does not have better looking women than what you find in BC lol. Especially if we are talking per capita, yikes.. Still snowing up there johnny?

Ha ha. Only snowed for a couple of days. Not so bad after all. Closed the golf course and screwed me over for the entire weekend.. No snow today. Golf course closed into the afternoon at the least today for frost delay. Can't win. Two rounds of golf I'll never get back and counting.

Yeah, girls are pretty good in BC. Relax, man. Met my wife there. Don't tell her what I said about Cali vs BC, okay? I may not have considered per capita. Definitely has Alberta beat.

Have a great day. Where you are that can't be too hard.

Dumb post, this isnt a cali vs bc. The women in the bay area are ugly. Im talking about paradise, its all a matter of opinion. I can pull up a photo of tahoe that matches bc guy and thats just one place. Women in sweden and paris easily have socal beat. I did not mention anything about cali being a paradise. Imo there is no where in north american that id call paradise. Maybe somewhere in the Caribbean? Close enough to NA right?

The comparision of screwrice and kiotee is retarded. This is my 2nd post. Trying to stay on track for euro destinations.

Curious how you would know this since you live in "paradise", and apparently never leave? I hate Kalifornia, but there are a shit ton of hot women there.

You seem very sensitive about where you live.

Heading to Italy for 10 nights in mid-May. Very excited to experience the food and culture.

We are starting in Rome (3 nights), Orvieto (1 night), Florence (3 nights) and Venice (2 nights).
