Unless it's ported and has a larger elbow, I'd say your price isn't far off the mark. No offense, but it wold be the last one that I'd buy with VMP's 3 iterations beyond that, in addition to the Trinity. You can ask whatever you want, but what someone is willing to pay is another story.

I am actually looking to buy not sell. Seller is asking $1750 told him he's off his rocker. This is the ford racing model, not the vmp. The lowest of the low! I actually saw one that sold on here for $700 last year. I know that is a steal. Trinity's are going for $1200-$1300 now.

I sold a ported VMP Gen II to a guy I know for $1,500, so it's definitely high.

You are correct, a Gen 1 TVS is worth right around $1000, However Ive seen multiple people recently trying to sell them for $1700ish which is insane as thats more then i ever seen Trinity blowers going for.

Meh, Id pass on that and go right to the Trinity TVS. Even with porting the Gen 1 FRPP doesnt look like it will get to the Trinity. The Trinity is actually pretty optimized, even compared to the Gen 2 and 2R.

Hell @biminiLX made nearly 1k HP with a modified Trinity TVS.

^^^ I agree with this, 50 state CARB legal will always have it's value depending upon the buyers location. If I remember correctly, this is the FRPP TVS that was installed on the entry level Super Snakes "back in the day". At first it was 605HP (with the KB being the 725 option), then the entry level went to 630HP, and then when the 2013 entry level Super Snake was 662HP (no blower change), the Super Snake entry level 2007-2012 went to 660HP, I believe, but am not positive that this same FRPP blower was the install on all of the pre-2013 Super Snakes unless an owner chose the 7XXHP option.

This was also the Blower upgrade for the GT500KR when the "Post Title" upfitters package was available to upgrade the 2008/09 GT500KR from 540HP to 605HP.

^^^This FRPP blower would be "correct" for most (if not all) of the applications listed above.

I guess value is what someone is willing to pay. However, as an owner of a 5.8 Shelby, and knowing that Ford is no longer making any further 5.8/SVT branded TVS housings, I personally won’t give away the real 5.8 Trinity TVS.
Have you checked the Ford pricing? On Tasca.com that number is $4300+
Just sayin

Robert your info is correct. The Frpp TVS was indeed the entry level blower for all Super Snakes from 07-12

And you could also buy it from Frpp as a kit with the pro cal and frpp 113mm CAI that came a carb sticker.

^^^^I was pretty sure, but not positive about the 2011/12. I have collected the Shelby Super Snake brochures year by year from the very first when my car went through, all the way through the current offerings. I knew that this blower was installed in the original 605HP and then the updated 630HP (apparently with a tune update), but I was not sure if it was still the Super Snake entry level for the 660HP that was offered in the 2013/14 time period for the 2007-2012 builds.

If I remember correctly, there were some owners who installed a smaller pulley on those earlier FRPP TVS blowers and got over 700HP? <<I think.....

I'm pretty sure the VMP Gen I was just a modified version of the FRPP. They modified the entry port on the case for their revised higher flowing elbow and the VMP TVS took off. Even the Ford Racing placard fits.

Just remember, the CARB legality is only when you use the Ford Racing calibration it came with and have the kit sticker with the blower on a vehicle approved for use.

Just like with the the FRPP headers. The headers are only CARB legal when used with the Ford Power Pack it came with. Stand alone, there is no CARB number to make them legal.

Some will say that it doesnt matter, but I see plenty of people in the Marketplace from California looking for factory superchargers, intakes etc. CARB dont play if they smell blood in the water.

Now it used to be that VMP offered the Gen 2 case as a stand-alone upgrade to the TVS rotor pack from the FRPP gen 1. No idea if they still make it.

I originally had the Frpp TVS, and with a L&M plenum and the blower outlet port matched to plenum a 2.59 pulley , 80lb injectors, kb bap, pauls HP modified fuel hat and pumps on E85 i made 730hp. The frpp tvs was a good blower and people under rate it all the time. I ran 10.7x on that setup.

If you had the CARB EO sticker and the supercharger, there's no way they would know what tune is on the car.
