Nice I had almost everything for my 13 to do this except the caliper mounting bracket. I think there was two ways to do it the other is dismantling the axle. Which route did you take? I bought so many parts for the 5.0 that ended up being resold, never installed.

Yes that’s correct. I used the mounting bracket route.

Tested and proven option by a ton of dudes who road course their GT500’s/Mustangs.

Its a good and fairly inexpensive upgrade for sure. Since you had to pull the axles did you go with a better rearend fluid?

PS. These arrived today.
Hankook Ventus RS4
295/40/18 Rear.
275/40/18 Front.

At this point I feel anything would be an upgrade over the stock Eagle F1’s.

I never stated I didn’t pay sales tax, BECAUSE Whipple is located in CA.
I stated I didn’t pay sales tax (which I normally would have to), BECAUSE Whipple is based in CA.
^ I didn’t buy this kit directly from Whipple. I bought it from an out of state business. The kit then showed up at my doorstep :)

PS. I still don’t pay sales tax online when I purchase anything from outside of CA. Never have.
Adding that fact that you bought it from an out of state business makes your post more clear. As a small business with customers in every state, the new tax laws are of critical importance. If the business sold you Whipple kit is a smaller shop, it is possible it falls under the updated California sales tax collection requirements for out-of-state retailers.

California allows an exception for small out-of-state retailers to collect sales tax. The exception applies to out-of-state retailers that, in the current or preceding calendar year, have:
  • $500,000 or less in taxable sales in California, or
  • Less than 200 separate transactions for delivery into California
