I've owned this car for over a year and it has always done this but it seems to have gotten worse after I money shifted it pretty hard but that might just be in my head since I'm worrying about it more now. Anyway, when I go wot in first and grab second it spits for a split second right when I get into 2nd then pulls fine although if im alreasy in the throttle when i let out of the clitch pedal into second it doesnt spit it just gets with it like it should. Also if I get basically anything over 2-2500 in second and let out and let it exhaust brake then mash it again it falls on its face then instantly pulls hard right after, it does this in all the gears I just notice it most in 2nd. A couple times now I've ran it up high in third and short shifted to 4th and it will straight up spit and sputter for a good couple seconds when I get on it in 4th and it's only ever done that in 4th. The car feels slower to me in general like it isnt running right sometimes and other times it feels ok but it still makes full boost and my passengers think it is the same even when I think it isn't. I just dont see how it could be my mind playing tricks. When I money shifted and rebuilt the rear end I changed the exhaust which changed my driving habits thanks to that sweet exhaust note so I don't really know if my money shift hurt the motor or if my driving now is just causing these things to happen more...the bottom end is built, kenne bell blower, makes 550 to the tires. Any input is greatly appreciated I really need to know if I need a tune or if this is just normal blower car stuff since this is my first.

There shouldn't be any hesitations. I'd check the plugs and make sure you have enough fuel. Datalog the FPDC. If that all checks out I'd suspect the tune.

And stop beating on it until you fix it.

check the plugs first. Make sure you have the right gap, and the right heat range. NGK or motorcraft ONLY.
