Hey Guys. I have not made it a point to watch on a regular basis, but today I noticed at WOT my boost level reads from 11-13psi. When I watched it right after purchasing it (around 6 months ago) it used to read from 13-15 psi at WOT. It is very hot right now in Georgia (been in the 90’s). Not sure if that affects it. Car seems to be running just fine. Is this normal? I found an old thread on here that said they should read 14-15psi at sea level. Thanks for any input.

Sounds normal to me - higher ambient temps mean higher Density Altitude, which means lower boost.

South Florida has basically killed my peak boost for now. It’s nasty outside

I don't know exactly which mods did it on my car, but my factory boost gauge is not accurate at all. I got a Boost Box Omega and an Ngauge to give me something more realistic. Don't put too much stock in the factory gauge.

I wondered about that myself, but we had a cooler evening just now and I took her out for a few pulls with the AC off. It back at 14-14.5psi consistantly again. Gonna check again tomorrow when it heats back up again.

The factory gauge is a placebo which is not based on actual manifold pressure but uses inferred input from the PCM and calibrated for the stock tune parameters. Don't rely on it, especially with a tune. Get a gauge that uses a MAP sensor or a mechanical gauge if you want accurate boost readings.

Thanks, I guess I missed this. Perhaps if I ran e85 and got bigger injectors and installed my return style pumps and bigger MAF, I'd could be in that range, but I stick to pump gas for the most part. E85 is really hard to find in the refinery belt. I've not dyno'd it, but I'm guessing I'm in the 800 rwhp range, give or take. Willie has me intrigued with the water meth injection, but I'm not sure what I would do with more power.
