The Hudson Valley of NY mostly Pine Bush NY is famous for UFO sightings by 100's of people the last 30 plus years. I did see similar objects twice once in the mid 80's and once in the 90's. I live fairly close by to Pine Bush and these sightings have covered NY, NJ and CT. I can't say that I am a firm believer but I did experience twice seeing Unidentified Flying Objects that were large in size and made no sounds. It was freaky to say the least.

The One Place In New York Where You're Most Likely To See A UFO

By definition, yes, I believe so.
I guess if you are looking at the small picture. If you are looking at the big picture IMO it's our moon so it would be no different than en explorer discovering a new continent "many moons ago".

If we found life on the moon, would we call said life aliens?

BTW, although I stand by my previous statement, I am being slightly facetious because I know the general conversation is in regards to beings that are alien to us.

Nope, humans.....unless of course they came from elsewhere. Then they would be ILLEGAL ALIENS.....haha

It's virtually a mathematical impossibility that we're alone. That's all I need to know to believe we've had visitors from other planets.
Mathematically and personally I agree they are 100% out there... But mathematically and personally do not agree that means they have been here.

What we need in this thread is the wisdom of a potato farmer :D

It seems obvious that they are out there.

However, my big and i mean--BIG--problem with alien life forms being out there SOMEWHERE, is why have they not boldly made their presence known or interacted with us?

Why has there been no real, documented interactions?

Seems odd.

Vastness of the universe. For example, our radio signals have only travelled 200 light years across to date, the Milky way is 100,000 LY wide. The closest galaxy to us is 2,500,000 LY away. The probability of us being alone in the universe is 0, however the probability of us being close to other life forms is also incredibly tiny. Oh and then you have to factor in the probability of civilizations advanced enough to defy physics as we know it to either get here or send information many thousands of times faster than light.

And i agree with all of that 100%.

But then we are back to all of the "UFO" sightings and my head begins to spin yet again bringing me back to my original question.

This one time.....while not in band camp..or ever....I was talking this chic about said topic. She said no way there are aliens. I said God is so great that he created the heavens and the earth but we are all he created? Granted I'm not religious but I wanted to twist her perspective a bit. She got pissy and said, "well if there are they look like us because we were created in his image". I was literally talking to a brick wall but it was fun while it lasted.

*EDIT* What say you Revvv
But you tapped it, right?

Yea, some of it sure is odd, im a firm believer of military/top secret science testing though. A lot of people lie about things they see just to gain notariety or for attention so it sure is a tough subject. And in the age of photoshop... All sense of whats real and not is out tha window haha

I grew up in Crestview, a small town just outside Eglin Airforce Base. The biggest base in the world actually. When I was a kid we had countless night time UFO sightings. ALways between point A and point B. It was a winged aircraft...the oh so secret stealth bomber :)
