Bill in FL proposes that LEO no longer need to witness street racing to prosecute it.

Street racing bill passes Senate

I never understood the appeal of videotaping oneself engaging in criminal activity and then posting it for everyone to see.

gotta do it for the views/likes man, duh! Everybody's gonna be a YouTube star

And here I thought this was to Legalize it.

Blows my mind the amount of time and energy people use to "fight street racing" considering all the other problems we are faced with.

eh, they keep doing stupid shit in stupid places and hurting/killing people around here. It got a lot better when we had an 1/8 track in that part of town, they kept it open until 2-3am and it worked. Then it got shut down from bullshit politics and here we are again.

According to that definition if the guy you are trying to pass on the freeway decide to speed up and you speed to get around him you are now street racing.

How about I introduce you to families who have suffered a tragic loss due to street racing. I wonder if they think it’s worth it.
I don’t like the, “it hasn’t affected me so it’s not a problem” way of thinking.

Huh, first time reading about this.

As long as someone has video evidence then I'm ok with this.

If it's word of mouth by only 1 person, I hope that's not all that is needed.

noise restrictions
This is the biggest thing I think. People buy houses near a track unaware that there even is a track or the amount of noise it brings and complain. After enough time this is repeated over and over again until those that complain vastly outnumber the pro-track people. Then tracks go bye bye

Police in the tampa bay area really cracked down on the late night car scene over the last ten years. Sting operations, undercovers, unmarked sport bikes (I had a buddy that serviced the police crotch rockets at a local cycle shop, they had two gixxer 1ks with nitrous that I knew of), and lots of helicopters put an end to the tampa bay bridge meets

...and Maximus said to Commodus, "the time for honoring yourself will soon come to an end."

My question is "How are they going to prove beyond doubt that it was me or my car in the video? Faces and plates are blurred/never shown, there's more than one of these cars in existance... where is the evidence to convict?"
