I used the same pulley (69mm - 6 rib), belt, tune, dynojet and did a pull right off the street for each.

Gen 3 = 888 rwhp / 723 rwtq
Gen 3R = 922 rwhp / 732 rwtq

The Gen 3R started pulling away at 5-5500 rpms.

Here is a little detail on gains by rpm:

5500
+12 hp
+12 tq
+1.2lbs of boost

6000
+18 hp
+16 tq
+.7lbs of boost

6500
+28 hp
+22 tq
+1.1lbs of boost

7000
+35 hp
+26 tq
+1.1lbs of boost

7500
+32 hp
+23 tq
+1.5lbs of boost

The "before" numbers already pushed my car to an 8.94 @ 153, 6 rib, upper only, stock converter at 3720lbs+..

Here is the fun part for those of us who will use these on the street:

5100 rpms = 700 rwhp
5700 rpms = 800 rwhp
6700 rpms = 900 rwhp

Rwtq was over 700 from the start of each pull (4000 to 6850 where rwhp was over 910!). At wot it hits hard from the bottom and the pull gets increasingly dramatic until the shift point. Scary fun.

Here is the my (conservative) combination:
Aluminator (Gen 1)
JLT Super Big Air (148mm)
Mono blade t. body
Ported lower intake by Bret Barber
69mm upper / stock lower / 6 rib
Stock Gen 1 heads
Stock Gen 1 cams
BBK 1-3/4" longtubes
3" X pipe
Oem over axles w/Dynomax Bullets welded in
Kooks axle back
E85
6R80 transmission/stock converter
Tuned by Rob Shoemaker at Palm Beach Dyno

Hey TVSpower. I run around on pump E85. I switch back to 93/Boostane for the occasional winter drive. My car is mostly used on the street. 3-4k miles per year. I just like to be able brag about a good et for my modification level.

You should come to street car takeover at National Trail Raceway in a couple of weeks. Track is east of Columbus and had a great turn out last year. A bunch of LS stuff winning....could use a coyote to come out and lay it down.

Great results buddy!
Such a simple well matched/well tuned combo.
Other power adders may be flashy, but until you’ve experienced a 900+rwhp street car, it’s hard to express how well the TVS powerband is matched to street fun. Well, as long as you have some form of traction right?
I have some 315/50/17 MT ET Rs to test if Weld ever gets done with my wheels, ordered 3/31 :(

Most definitely PUMP fuel here, just too easy when clean burning race fuel is $2, eh?

Those numbers and times are something to be bragged about. There are people that claim over 800 but very few claim that with the mod list that you show, and VERY few show those times while driving around on the streets. Good job man!

Great numbers . Have you ever run the car in street trim at the track ? go the track and make a pass right away without that 3 hour cool down , icing down the car and removing stuff from the car

Thanks! Never have. I don't see the allure. I am planning to make some passes this fall for fun and the rush. Does that count? Ha ha. I've always been so serious about not making mistakes and getting in the way of the car, that I forget to enjoy the pull during a pass.

11Sec_Lx, thanks for posting- this is a very informative comparison! You have very impressive numbers- I bet the car is really fun on the street! Eight second ETs with such a seemingly simple setup is amazing! You have the car dialed in!

Bad ass @11Sec_Lx

Very impressive. I watched a video on the VMP Performance Youtube channel earlier today and the Gen 3R does flow a lot better.
Can't go wrong either way.

To be able to switch like you can, brings everything to a new level.........I can't imagine, having your setup,
Over 8/900rwhp with a switch, would win me many a races....
