I never had a build thread or anything following my mods so the purpose of this thread is to update times as I mod my car. This car will always focus on street driving first and the track second. As you will see from my mod list I dont have anything crazy and its a very basic set up. Im not sure how far I can go with a basic set up like this but thats what well all find out as time goes on. I will list out all mods below and give a brief overview of the car.

2013 Mustang GT Premium

PMAS 120mm intake
VMP Twin 67mm TB

BMR Upper Control Arm with Mount (poly bushings) (added 6/19)
Whiteline rear sway bar

Wheel/Tire Combo
15X10 Forgestar F14 w/MT ET Street Pro Radial
18X5 Forgestar F14 w/28" MT (added 5/19)
18x10 GT500 replicas w/305/40/18 NT555R (added 5/19)
19x8 GT500 replicas w/265/40/19 Firestone Indy 500s (added 5/19)

This past weekend I went down to Houston to see what the car would run, this is the first time I have ever ran the car. On the first pass I left off idle and that yielded my best 60 and time. The car ended up running a 10.53@133 w/1.64 60 ft. On the second hit I tried loading up the stock converter but it actually dropped my 60 slightly to a 1.67 and the car ran 10.56. I only ended up making 2 passes due to weather, track was wet in the morning.

I have plans for a return fuel system and switch the car over for E-85 later in the year. In the meantime I do plan to go run it again once I get tires for my front runner. I will update this thread as I mod or run it. Thanks for reading

Your car is almost a twin for mine except I have a Gen 2 vmp. In our crazy summer DA (usually 3000-4000) ft car is a 10.6-10.7 performer. I believe that I am about at the top of where I can comfortably run without doing some motor work. I do think an ice box would help me in the summer heat.

Congrats man, that thing looks GOOD!

How much power do you think it's making?

Never had it on the dyno, should be making roughly 625-640 to the tire

Would love to meet up sometime, not sure when we will be back in Houston. Its 4 hrs from here and the local track opens back up soon. I would do OPG sooner than later, you will be glad you did.

Awesome setup and look forward to seeing more updates in the future!
Im considering swapping over to E85 really soon. Tuner told me as long as I stick with the 82mm I will be fine on stock pump and JMS BAP. Just a little nervous about pushing a stock gen 1 motor to hard.

Yeah I’ve been considering moving to a fore return system and e85 as well but I’m in the same gen 1 boat as you. Decisions decisions... Let us know if you make the leap, would love to hear wat kind of difference it makes.

I have not made it back to the track yet. We had some tenants trash our rental property and set us back quite a bit. However, I have made some updates to the car, since I ran the car I added the following:

BMR Radiator Support with sway bar mounts
BMR Upper Control Arm with mount
Borla Over Axle Pipes
Finally have tires for my front runners and got them mounted. 18x5 Forgestars with 28x6 MT
Installed a switch panel in cup holder to control I/C Pump. I had a VMP ice tank on the car previously but forgot to list it.

Additionally, after thinking about it for 3 months this week ill be swapping over to E85, im still on stock pump with booster with a 82mm pulley. Spoke with tuner on Friday and he assures me ill have plenty of fuel. Here are a couple recent shots of the car.

That's sweet! Where'd you get your cupholder switch setup?

I picked it up from Speed of Sound. Alan was great to deal with and the panel fits perfect. The base is plexiglass so it lets some of the cupholder lighting to pass through. He can make them however you want.

I'm going to check that out, appreciate the tip. So are you doing a fore or similar system when going e85 so you have room to grow or sticking with the bap for now? Our cars are identical except I'm on a mt82, looking forward to more updates so keep them coming!

Sticking with the JMS pump booster, were going to turn it up to 21 volts. Shaun has done quite a few of them and none of them ran out of fuel on the 82mm. I like the JMS because it only runs higher voltages under wot where as other boosters run full time.

I plan on doing the rodeheavers gt350 dual pump return system come tax return time and then save up for a bottom end.

I'll keep this thread updated as I progress. It's going to take sometime though, I need to run 2 tanks of e85 through the car before we start wot tuning. He wants to make sure all the pump gas is out of it.

I think vmp makes a fuel draining module you plug into obd and will run all of the fuel out. Might speed up the process

They do, but it's 30 some dollars for a connector that simply jumps 2 pins on the fpdm....not paying that much. Shaun is going to send me a tune that I can use to drain the tank, it will leave the pumps running once you go key on.

My buddy has and old fuel filter from his gt500 I'm going to connect it to the feed line that hooks to the rails, just going to pick up a few feet of hose to run from the filter to a jug outside the car and it should work perfect.

VMP also sells a fuel draining kit but it's like 80 some dollars and I'm not paying that kind of money when I can make one for a few bucks. I'll post up some pics once I drain the tank.

How are you planning on doing the bottom end? It's something I need to start planning for but I'm torn between building my current block or buying a short block like l&ms aluminator clone or similar or even buying an f150 block from junkyard and building that. I'm not made of money, would like to get the best possible outcome on a budget. Some guys dont mind throwing down 10k for a built engine, that ain't me
