Well guys - I can honestly say I never thought I'd be writing these words: My Cobra is going up for sale soon.

For all intensive purposes my car has 85K miles on it. I have all the documentation since the car was new. It has always had stock tune and pulley - never been to the track. It was a daily driver for 14 years - so yes - it has seen rain, ice, snow, sun, wind, and anything else God saw fit to send my way. I'd say paint is probably 7/10 as there are a few defects from wear and tear. Clean & clear title - not accidents.

Performance mods:
K&N FIPK with Amsoil air filter
Magnaflow exhaust

Other performance mods:
MM Full Length subframe connected (welded in a HPP Performance in Lewisville)
Caster Camber plates
Billetflow rear differential brace
Spec 3+ clutches
26 Spline input shaft
Moroso Coolant overflow tank
MGW Shifter

Other mods:
Alpine Head Unit (single DIN)
Subwoofer in the trunk
RGB LEDs in foot wells
Projector Headlights (with Morimoto projectors/ballast/bulbs) with RGB LED demon eyes.
LED tail lights
LED front park/turn lights.
Morimoto LED Fog lights
Windstop
Dual Aeroforce gauges on SOS pods.

The Bad:
ABS Module is acting up
Rack and pinion leak (been there for years - I keep an eye on the power steering fluid and top off very little as needed).

Recent big ticket items:
Full convertible top professionally installed last year along with new weatherstripping.
New convertible top rams installed
Leather on driver seat bolster repaired
rear differential serviced and re-sealed.

Car drives beautifully - since the clutches have been broken in the shift feels great. I've most recently took it on an anniversary trip with my wife to Mississippi last September. I'd trust it to get me anywhere.

I love this car - but with 4 kids I just find it doesn't fit my current stage in life anymore... :(

Currently going through the process of detailing it, and then need to give it a photoshoot.

What do you guys think I should ask for when I list it?

One owner? Either way looks like you’ve taken care of it. How is the undercarriage? Any rust? If not I’d say 22k.

Looks like a nice Cobra. I was surprised I didn't see a smaller pulley and tune with the other mods. Life sometimes brings new priorities and changes. You've enjoyed it for 14 years as a daily driver, so no regrets.

With 85k miles and it's a yellow vert?

I think 22k is a little high. I'd expect more like 18-20.
I purchased my silver vert in 2016 with 75K on the clock for $15K.

This one has more miles, but it's in better condition. So, being a yellow vert (2 hard things to sell in the Cobra world) I would agree with your price points.

This...

these guys are dreaming

I sold a 110k mile 04 cobra for 17.5k, and that was years ago.

Prices have only gone UP.

I wouldn't go near an 18k cobra in today's market....

Price depends on how quickly you want it to sell. Seeing the car in person or many more pics would be better to narrow down a price range, but if you want it gone quickly, set your price in the high teens... maybe $19.5k. Otherwise you could go low twenties and see what happens.

FYI, all cars have rust on the bottom, even new ones at the dealer. It’s simply a matter of how much rust there is. I see you are in TX, but you stated the car has been driven in ice and snow. Were the roads salted?

Just sold a mint 04 Oxford White vert with 33,000 miles. Bone stock, never driven in rain etc for $23k if that tells you anything.

It's primarily lived in DFW area. So I think we use sand on the few days a year when/if needed. I'm just trying to convey that it was a true daily driver for years.

I was thinking $25k... I really just needed a little validation to know if I was way off base or not. I'll start there and see how it goes.

I think for the condition of your car 25K is a good start. Summer is upon us so it is Vert weather. I was just saying SY and Vert are not highly desirable. However, there are people who want a yellow Vert. If you find the buyer it could go for that much. I just think around 20K is probably where you may end up.

I wish you the best and the more you get the better for the rest of us owners :D..........GLWS!!!!

Where are you finding these buyers? You'd be an idiot to buy an 85k mile car for over 20k. Especially a vert.

“Idiot” is harsh and a bad assumption. First off, some love yellow. Secondly, there are buyers that prefer verts. As for price, I can see this car easily selling for more than $20k. Fortunately we all have different wants/desires. That’s why Ford made coupes and verts in a variety of colors. I would never call someone an idiot for not wanting the exact same thing I want.

I got to agree with the $18K-$20K but all depends on the area and the luck. I have seen Really nice Anniversary Cobras in better condition sit at $18K for years and not sell but then I see some that are in a bit of harsh conditions that sell for say $22K. Now my area is swamped with Terminators and that may be why some sit as they are not selling on boards just local ads.

As said above Yellow and Vert are probably the hardest two to sell but many people want that specifically. Remember you can go down in price but it's really hard to go up...
