Good luck on your project. I have cheap set of BBK long tube headers and h pipe if you’re in the market since I just finished mine after 2 years

Thanks man! And i already have a set of bbk longtubes, bbk xpipe.

I also got the car buttoned the up today, have a few things to do like seal the crossover tube where it meets the block, burp cooling system, and some other miscellaneous stuff. I did turn the car on for a few seconds just to make sure it would start.

What do yall use to seal the crossover tube to the block? I used some rtv black sealant/gasket maker, only thing is i put it on after i had the manifold back in, making it a PAIN THE A** to get around the back. Now i have a leak and am going to take it all apart. Going to make sure i put the sealant before i put the manifold back on.

I didn't use anything. The O-rings seal the crossover.

Ford coolant bypass o-rings.
You can get a set on ebay..2003 works for ours as well and you get a spare that way, as ours only use three of the rings.

A little dish detergent on the rings with help them go in.
I guess a little synthetic grease would be ok too.

All they probably are is these:
uxcell Black 33mm x 27mm x 3mm Rubber O Ring Oil Seal Sealing Gasket 10 Pcs

And the cap ring is probably a danco #35

    • 11/16 in. OD x 9/16 in. ID x 1/16 in. wall thickness
17mmx14mmx1.5mm...is what I measured

Thanks to the response! I used sealant this time around and have a leak, so hopefully next week i will solve that issue ! I just placed my order for the crossover o-ring kit (3 crossover tube, and the o-ring for the screw on top)!

Update: Got my coolant crossover o-ring kit and fixed my leak. Was $12 flat free shipping, came with 3 o rings for the crossover tube and another o ring for the cc fill/burp cap. 1993-1998 Lincoln Mark VIII 8 Coolant Crossover Rebuild O-Rings VITON Plug 93 98 | eBay
I also came to a realization that i have a newer t45 because i hooked up my speedo cable down by the transmission and when i went the drive the car 2nd gear 3k rpm my speedometer says im going 80mph!!!! The sensor is also the newer oss not the gear driven sensor. I seen that i can correct this by getting a speed cal. Anyone know where i can buy a decent one? Or can i get a tuner to correct it?

Mustang Speed-Cal, 1994-2004, 5 Speed Cars

No, a tune won't fix it.

Hey everyone been a minute, but i think i just found a score on a 2005 aviator engine. Asking $300 dollars for the complete long-block. I only care for the heads, think i can make my moneys back selling the short block, think it’ll be worth the c head swap? Going vortech down the road but a twinscrew blower sounds like some fun too
