DEARBORN, Mich., June 19, 2019 – Venomous strike: The all-new 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 will produce 760 horsepower and 625 lb.-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful street-legal Ford ever – with the most power- and torque-dense supercharged production V8 engine in the world.

Enough said.

Whatcha gonna say if this new charger is in fact a redeye WB charger... Goodbye z06 wishlist? I too will take mine in go mango
Dude,...........lol
I have to see the widebody Charger in person. I don't think I would trade my Mustang for one though. Daily driver?!?!? ALL DAY LONG! If they do a Redeye Charger, that would be nuts. It's already a bad ass car. Adding the Redeye goodies would just make it more bad ass.

Good read. Some of the people in this thread could use one.

Tons of good info here.

Couple things that stuck out to me

—all new aluminum viscous crank damper
—revised head gaskets
—11-14 style head bolts
—revised heads and block allowing for more “meat” for sealing/clamping
—new crank
—revised oil pump gear
—forged crank sprocket

It's cool for sure but I dont want this for my 4dr and why cant the put a real fender and rear qtr panel on these cars already?

Charge the extra 3k and do it right

Just not a fan of the slapped on flare look. Make a new stamp mold and do it right. This and the Demon/HCWB could have looked light years better with proper body work.

I couldn't agree more. I could have added some bolt-on/riveted flares to my fox body POS project but I'm taking the time to do them in carbon fiber. Subtle while allowing a 315/30/18 out back and a 295/30/18 up front. Dodge took the quick and easy route, albeit much less expensive.

They did modify the sheet metal, it's not the same which is why they can fit 11" wide wheels now.

The after market over fenders are disgusting. The cars are too slab sided for boxed fenders.

You do realize it’s not just flairs slapped on? The fenders and quarters are augmented to allow more room, you know much like most wide body set ups you see in aftermarket offerings.

It’s a pretty clean application none the less, keeps costs down as they still mass produce the base parts used across the line and likely keeps bean counters happy. I’m just glad they keep kicking out fun vehicles.

Me personally I don’t see my self cross shopping a GT500 vs Charger anyway. Both cars will have their own merits. Both will sell.
