They’ll sell every one of them yes, but I think they priced out the average dude who saved for a little while to buy his expensive toy.

I get that its 7 years later, but a 55k entry to 75 entry is a lot.

As is a 61k or so PP vs a 80-100k performance package.

Okay, enough complaining about price as I’m not even considering getting one.

The question now is, at 85-95K, how much smackdown will this car put on an automatic zl1-1le next year...

HO LEE SHIIIT... wasn’t expecting it to be that expensive after options.

It will definitely need to lay a SMACKDOWN on the ZL1 1LE and standard Hellcat at that price point.

Gorgeous car though..

Holy crap!!!!!! Wow.
I wasn't expecting that! But, it's a Mustang, so they will sell A LOT of them.
Like @ZYBORG said,.......it is a gorgeous car.

It will, I promise.

I have one guy that is ONLY interested if he can get the CF Track Package. If that allocation won't qualify, I'm going to keep it and I'll keep you guys posted on how fast it is at the track.

What got me is the $2,600 gas guzzler tax!!! Holy crap!!!
Does the new GT500 really suck down that much gas or is it a "You're rich, we'll take your money" tax??? ****.

Painted over the top stripes.....

$10,000 OPTION!!!

I wouldn't do stripes on this car. However, I'm actually glad they are offering painted stripes, even if it is a total rip off at $10k. The only thing worse than getting screwed to the tune of $10k for painted stripes is for Ford to offer their halo vehicle for a price tag over $60k (previous versions of the GT500, GT350 and GT350R) with tacky vinyl stripes that you can buy on the internet for $100.

Nick just called me on pricing.

Low optioned - you're fine.

Full gonzo - jaws will be dropped.

He has it. SVTP baller. Jelly about the Viper ride. I might be interested in a vehicle from you if I get to ride in your beautiful Viper.

As others have stated, 10,000 over the paint stripe and 2,600 guzzler? Wowza.

Interesting that Ford knows which mileage category the car fits in for Gas Guzzler Tax yet they won't provide EPA fuel economy numbers at this time.

Now we wait for weight...

1.) Steak/seafood all the way. BBQ will mean a fart filled cabin for hours as much as I think these come with a cabin filter, IIRC (but filtration is incoming air and not existing cabin air - I think).
2.) The white/gray Recaro seat accents are ugly as sin but I'm forging ahead with that option and will deal with it down the road. I'm curious to see what a white '20 will look like (yes, I've seen the chops) as that would blend perfectly with the Liberace/Rock Hudson interior accents. I'm coining the Rapid Red as thee Ron Burgandy Edition and can't wait.
3.) A guided road tour with you in the Viper - priceless. Even better would be if George's car showed up at the same time. Were that the case, I'd drive mine to Georgia with him in his and then head up to NY after badgering him at MGW for a few days. Either way, lots of miles on the car - instantly. At this point in my life, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Hoping the order banks open this afternoon. Let's get it on!

Absolutely. Crazy if it's the other way around.:)
I would make sure to meet up with the both of you. It would have to be done.

Not surprised. I would also expect that since Ford knows the dealers are gonna jack the prices, they might as well keep some of that for themselves by upping the price. Not that it will stop them from inflating them to well over 100K like they did with the GT350R.
