I have a couple of the flaming Mustang Banners probably 4' by 6' I never really measured. I haven't seen another one anywhere since I got my last one.

Someone offered you $10k for that sign sitting and weathering outside and you seriously said no?? Now if someone is interested in buying it, all of a sudden it’s for sale? You going to want like a $100k for it or what?? Should’ve taken that $10k and laughed all the way to the bank!

The sign is easily worth 5 figures I’m trying to figure out what the first number needs to be in the series

If anyone cares I have an update on the sign. Not much history but it’s value has been determined. With help from a local dealer and mecum and my insurance company we think we have it figured. Before I post the numbers. I would like to hear from you guys on what you think. I will post the insured value Sunday to give you guys a chance to guess a little. And for the record it is for sale.

You go ahead and make one and a more durable material. Going to cost you thousands and be worth nothing. You see my sign is one of a kind and 40 years old. Making it vintage. Good luck with your new sign.

Ill play, I have quite a few signs, that I have bought over the last decade (2 of our biggest Ford signs are 10' wide). Id say $2-4k (seems as you have put a lot into it polishing it so it presents well). If you were offered $10k, I would follow up on that offer. Couple factors that are in my mind. 1st off, is not porcelain, its plastic, and relatively speaking not that old (compared to porcelain). Plastic while still very cool, does not hold the values of porcelain especially if neon (often $10k+). Second, looks like you only have the face, you dont have the back light box. 3rd, it is very large. Large signs limit your market, especially when shipping is a factor.

Dont get me wrong (if I have insulted you with my numbers), I think you have a fantastic sign, and I would be very happy have it. It would totally fit in our space and Ford theme that we have.

It would appear I said that. But I didn’t mean to. I was being facetious. It appraised for $6300. And it’s insured for $10k. It’s not for sale. I’ve decided it’s not replaceable and I really like having it right where it is. I’m just glad I could share it with my svtp friends here. It’s a nice conversation every time I have someone over and it looks good looking over my cars. I will eventually build an aluminum frame and wire it up for lighting but that will be down the road a bit.

Excellent. I'll be looking for something when I get my house done. I've got 15' ceilings, so a big sign would look great.

I realize that. Led’s would be much better. But I’m trying to restore it like original if possible. This thing is worth to much to start changing things. I could do led’s temporarily until I have time to do it up right. Thanks for your input.
