Rumors are that it’s 4 seconds faster at big willow. If that’s the case the GT500 is running approximately times of the c7z.
I hope that this rumor is creditable, and if so it will put it between the c7z and the zr1 at that race track.

It will be faster than a C7GS and the C7 GS is a full second faster than a 350R which will be faster than a base 500. Ive pointed out plenty of evidence yet you havent pointed out any at all as to why a base 500 will beat a Z51. How bout you explain your end

C&D best drivers car 2020 will be lengendary

still havent answered my question, give 3 cars it is comparable to in lap times. Why is thi so hard to do.

Maybe i need to clarify, name 3 cars that will run nearly identical lap times as the C8, lets say +/- .2

GT500 will have a power to weight gap that the C8 Base or z51 wont be able to overcome. The more technical, the better for the c8.
C8 needs more power, something the TTv8 (z06?) should remedy.

Excellent points, 54% power delta is huge and they are going to be good at different things which should be expected. No way C8 hangs roll racing or 1/4 mile, including almost all use cases on public roads so on the street GT500 will dominate and be beautiful and special.

Talking about roll racing these cars is like talking about if Michael Jordan would make a good MMA fighter.

Say that all you want but it contradicts what people that witnessed it have reported.
It really doesnt matter, that ain't happening. Go ask a real pro driver their opinion of how a gt500 on a street tire does against a GT on slicks and they'll laugh. A worn slick is really only about .5 slower until it hits the cords. A slick is a solid 5 seconds faster than an R comp street tire and a gt500 will not beat a GT on street tires in a proper comparison. If we are talking about real world stuff then sure, and in testing, literally anything can happen like I've harped on about before but the same guy driving back to back, 100% no chance.

Believe what you want. The truth is right around the corner.
Are you honestly believing that a 3200lbs supercar with active aero on slicks lost to a 4100lb mustang on a street tire? Come on...
Who was driving, what was the scenario, what was the context of the conversation... The FGT on slicks would be running on the 2:27 range on laguna seca, the GT500 will probably be doing 2:33

For the last time - you are going to have to wait. I trust those that witnessed it on that day. That is all. Believe what you want.

... The C7 grand sport was a full second faster than the 350R with 67hp less and a much worse tire. ...

Corvette GS Z07 tire = 285 front/335 rear Sport Cup 2
GT350R tire = 305 front/315 rear Sport Cup 2

How is the GS on a "much worse tire?" It's the GS's much lower weight and the torque delivery that gave it the win.

I wasnt quoting the z07, it came on a super sport run flat. Yes the lower weight helped it win, thats part of my point. The C8 has an even larger weight advantage against the new 500.
