The 2013 GT500 and the GT350 are two different animals. From what you have said about your requirements, I'd go to the GT500. I had a 2013 GT500 for seven years. It was, and is, a great car. Brutal torque and acceleration. I now have a 2019 GT350 and love it for it's track oriented performance.

A buddy of mine bought a nearly new Hennessy 700 Camaro, it was a well engineered and put together kit. I believe it was a $27,000 add on to the cost of a new Camaro, he picked it up with 3500 miles on it and paid wholesale cost for a stock car. I guess the collector needed a new garage clean, so my buddy auto crossed it for a year had a lot of fun and it was reliable. But I’ve heard horror stories of Hennessy in his early years how customers got the shit end of the stick. I wouldn’t buy a brand new one from Hennessy, but would have no issues buying a used one.

Why would you waste money with Hennessey when their are other supercharger and turbo options that are probably 1/2 the cost, if not less, installed and tuned? Don't know what the Hennessey package costs but guessing in the $20k's.

Another vote for the GT500 here, I don't think you'd regret it. Probably wouldn't regret the GT350 either, they're both awesome cars to drive.

Only thing that MIGHT have pushed me towards a GT350 if I had the option to choose is that exhaust note of the GT350's, one was messing with me the other night while I was cruising in the GT500 and those GT350's sound like pure sex. Even my ol' girl noticed the sound and told me I need to get my exhaust done on the GT500 LOL.

Yea man the scream lol. Why do they have to make the new gt500 so much. The middle class cant even smell these until at least 5 years lol. Not paying 93000 for a base model. My friend works at a Ford dealership said they are marking it up 20000

13/14 gt500 is what you want. Under $2000 in mods and you’ll make close to 700whp.

Or if you must have the new body, just buy a mustang and add your choice of forced induction.

This. Despite having 300+ less hp, I'm enjoying my '18 GT far more than my '14 GT500. I miss the "exclusivity" but I am just very impressed with the S550 all around.

GT350-wise, I've heard many people say they felt "underwhelmed" with the car and they don't seem to be holding value all that well

I think the 350 is a little more fun, exciting car than gt500. 8200 rpm is fun to play around, but you will notice there isn't much torque or seat of the pants push down low . My father has an 350R i drive here and there.
The platform great imo and is there with IRS/Trans/Coolers/brakes. I think it would be fun to mod just expensive.

Also have heard john Hennessey is more or less no longer affiliated with his performance group. Investors bought him out, kept his name, and I think you can feel better about the integrity/honesty of their program.

I have heard the same. I also have seen a lot of 350 going for the same price as gt500. Which is wild. Once the gt500 comes out I feel like those are going to really drop.

I haven't driven a GT350, but everything points to it being an excellent "drivers car." Just too prone to issues for my taste.

Friend of mine on Long Island has his 2018 350 for sale, white with blue stripes, 6000 miles.

He’s also a member here on the forums. Want his info ?
