I am bringing this back up. Has anyone found out the issue with the cruise control not working like it should. Is it in the tune or somewhere else?

It's a glitch based on different strategies. Some cars it works fine, others it has issues. When I had my stock BLV3 (2013 GT) strategy, my Cc only worked in 6th gear. Now that I've switched to boss strategy, my CC now works in 4th and 6th, but not 5th. No other changes to the car, but the cc mysteriously now works in 4th gear.

I don't think there's enough demand for someone to spend the time figuring it out. It seems to be a roll of the dice at this point.

I had a t56 magnum in my 99 gt... thinking about getting a magnum xl for my 13 boss... I had to do some cutting of my 99 to get the shifter box to fit... will this need to be done on my 13? Or is it no cutting for the new cars.

Anyone have problems shifting into 2nd or 4th gear fast? Even cruising with the clutch pressed in, it will "grind" trying to throw it from either 1st to 2nd or 3rd to 4th.

yes.

been curious about the cause here for a while. mine only does it going into second tho.

the 3-4 shift with the WOT box is super smooth.

Reviving an old thread .. Ben Calimer rebuild a stage 2 TR6060. I am torn to purchase the new Magnum XL or go with an rebuild stage 2 TR6060. I imagine a rebuilt TR6060 will be stronger than the T56 Magnum XL considering the Magnum has essentially the same internals as an OE Tr6060. Calimer does upgraded carbon and hybrid syncros, brass shift pads, cryo treatment and REM polishing of all internals. Any one look at the rebuild TR6060 as an option to the Magnum XL?

Just remember the tr6060 is a remote shift mount set up like the mt82 and can suffer from high rpm lockouts like the mt82..the magnum is a top mounted shifter set up and wont do that..

i will throw in my 2 cents ..... 14 track pack v3 centri / e85 .... about 750-790whp (fresh built motor with gen 2 heads and gen 3 mani on a 3.48) ....... before blowing up the stock motor last year on about 12-13 psi same blower on the 3.60 i was running a bone stock JPC magnum swap ..... synchros took a shit on me ..... to me this transmission shifts way more difficult than the mt82 .... not saying its better or worse .... but sheer speed i cannot shift this thing as fast as the mt82 ..... also i run a mcleod rxt and 7k shifts fine .... by 7500 i dont think the synchros appreciate life as much ..... i upgraded my internals to carbon synchros and hyrbid parts .... bronce pads etc ... (got it done at anaheim gear in socal) ..... i still find myself once in a while not catching the gear right ...... but to me that has to do with the fact that to get into gear it takes a lot more force on this trans than mt82 and i have even been thinking about adding a little length to the shifter just to go into each shift with more leverage and force ..... for me personally the mt82 was perfect with an mgw race spec shifter .... except ffor the trans being made of glass . def a mother to shift higher hp in lower gears

I was also able to shift the MT82 faster than my T56 mag. Just put a MGW in it, and the shifts are real crisp now and less effort is required since it's a bit longer that the T56 shifter.

For anyone swapping an XL into an S197, I have a real nice CF DSS driveshaft for that swap. I swapped to a 9” rear so it is up for sale and you can get a much nicer CF shaft for this swap.
I just ran 9.55 in my 4070# GT500 with the stock Magnum XL and it’s a great trans, would highly recommend.

I just ordered a 2.2 lbs shift knob from Anarchy Motive. Hoping it will make my shifts quicker.

Just letting you all know that the heavy knob on top of the MGW feels GREAT. Feels high end now and shifts faster.
