Even though i was being sarcastic, the honduh on average has a higher payload and towing capacity than a gladiator.
Well, is that what the trunk is for?
How do you go offroad with the honda?
Anything more than a fire road and you are stuck. With gladiator, one has the best offroad truck on the market today.

You are correct neither will have the pay or tow capacity of a full size.

If you play on keeping the truck I highly recommend buying a Dodge Ram and get the lifetime warranty for a few bucks more. Unlike fords horribly warranties the lifetime warranty from mopar covers just about everything.
Don't forget to jump on the F150 Forums, great information.

that's when you see all the blown motors LOL. And no, sadly that's not a joke. To any one readying this DONT buy an older ecoboost unless you have a GOOD warranty. They aren't cheap. Buy a 15+ if you can. Keep it stock and don't tune the motor.

first off, trucks aren't made for good MPG so get that outta ur head

if you want a CHEAP, RELIABLE truck, F150 5.4L hands down. You can find a sweet lower mileage truck for 8-10 grand . Motors go 200k no probably, most trucks you will be worrying about the transmissions on the older ones.

If you want newer, get the 2015 ecoboost. DO NOT get an older ecoboost, those motors had MANY issues, with many blown motors. Especially 2011 and 2012. Timing chains and etc.

you could also go the Hemi route, get a older 5.7 Ram, they are ****ing bullet proof..
3v 5.4, reliable? GTFO

And when do the ecoboosts die? My 11 had 100k when I sold it. All my miles. Almost no issues.

On my 18 Silverado the deactivation isn’t too bad. I don’t ever notice it.

I have 70k on the 18, so, we will see if it gets expensive

On the older models with cylinder deactivation you have to remove the heads to fix it. A friend of ours at a local trans shop offers a kit to completely delete it; which is what I would do if I got a newer Silverado/ Sierra. If the newer engines are any different I don’t know. I only see vehicles when they’re out of warranty from the manufacturer.

Pick your poison.

I should have said 2V 5.4 ... 99 00 01 02 . And the 11-12 ecoboost are terrible. Many blown motors with relatively low miles. You avoided a $10k blown motor for sure. Late 14 is when they updated the motor issues. I had the 15, and loved it. However plugs NEED to be changed every 10-20k miles. And they NEED catch cans for the intake system.
