It's "you're".

Second, you said it was faster. Now you're back pedaling saying it's "better overall".

Yeah, no shit it's better overall.

Quit sniffing Ford's magic dust.. it's off putting and makes you look foolish.
Anyone in here bashing the car are foolish, I am not the one foolish here. It is better and faster so thanks for the correction. Ford will sell everyone single one of these, without needing huge discounts etc.

Seriously no one cares to hear about your negative comments.

I want one now. lol I wish I hadn't of sold all of my allocations. I already told my rep I would do whatever in order to get one more allocation (take bullshit inventory, etc)

I get where you're coming from...

But 99% of the drivers on this form, 80% of the people buying the MY20 GT500 will be just that, amateur drivers. Holding that premise as true, doesn't it matter more about what's easier to drive at the track for amateurs, than what a pro driver can tick off on a hero run? Curious on your thoughts on that.

Also, curious why you continuously attempt to call me out without tagging my name in the thread? I would hate to miss the opportunity to respond to one your comments by simply glancing over it.
Im not calling you out, first was a legit question. Ive seen a few people try and use their on track experiences to say told ya so and so is slower/faster etc.

No amatuer is going to run the magazine times, they may actually aquire the seat time to be damn near as fast as the pro but the prep is almost always lacking, yea even on bone stock cars. The debate about whats faster where is seriously totally pointless as there are many other reasons to buy a street car. I dont like the easier to drive angle. Ive seen some VERY seemingly feeble/uncapable people with the willingness to learn get fast in cars like formula Ford and old school sequential SR3's. So no excuse for anyone.
Anyway, gutted/caged race cars and a trailer is always the answer for someone dedicated to the track. Cars like the 1LE, GT500 etc are all very sub par in comparison even if they are as fast.

Also I’m a magician.

I stab customer in eye with saber.
And I sit my cat on my performers and they maul them on stage.
And then I light people on fire, but it is, you know, fake.

Then for encore, I punch my chest and then it disappear into the… the crowd.

I am world renowned for pulling large pieces of furniture out of your ass.

Lol Yeah ! Internet tough guys...! Like I said, this thread is entertaining. exp when the keyboard warriors try to show just how bad they are in their own minds ! Keep it going fella's but try to not get the thread shut down though... I still need some entertainment while at the office.

On the thread, the DCT is easily 200+ lbs with fluids. The S/C has to be close to 150 with fluids. Did people think that none of this would matter ? Add the other parts in and you will end up where your at. I am curious though what the CFTP will actually be dry. That will be the car to mod down for weight.

Don't get smart with me, woman. I'll come down there and split an ear off you.

How can I be tough guy?
I can’t afford new gt500. I’m too poor. Magician business is not what it’s used to be and I’m a out of work race car mechanic.

Also I’m 5’1 and weigh 102 pounds so when trouble come to me I run away.

Exactly.

That's not really relevant to what he's saying though. While it is a fat ****er, it is undeniably the highest performance Mustang ever built, in addition to just being fast period.

Fact.

Can you confirm or deny that a base 500 had a lower track time that a 350R at the same track?

Not denying that, just stating another fact. I do believe its the fastest car in its class without a doubt. As far as not killing tires, I guess thats relative but it will definitely be very hard on tires compared to typical track day cars regardless of what BillJ says.

What Im more curious about is the FGT on "worn" slicks being slower than the gt500

2020 Corvette 3600 lbs/ 495 HP = 7.27 lb/hp
2017-2019 Camaro ZL1
3880 lbs/650 HP = 5.97 lb/hp
2020 GT500
4250 lbs/760 HP = 5.59 lb/hp
2019 Corvette ZR1
3560 lbs/ 755 HP = 4.72 lb/hp

I predict all three GM cars to be faster around the road course. The GT500 will be the 2nd fastest on the drag strip.

The 4250# curb weight makes sense if you just tack a bunch of shit onto a GT350 without any consideration for weight reduction. It's not shocking, just disappointing and proves that development of this car wasn't a priority inside Ford. Ford spent a bunch of time and R&D dollars on the flat plane crank on the GT350, which could have been invested in weight reduction or greater performance enhancing items. I am guessing that they spent a bunch of time and R&D dollars on the DCT with the GT500.

We'll see after they are in the wild.

The issue with the FPC was that they put themselves into an bad corner. The FPC can’t be used for much else without having to completely redo the entire engine. What I’m saying is they would of never used it for the gt500 or hell they didn’t even use it in some
Of the race cars.
