It looks like the earliest production VIN I have seen was 145 and the latest is 761, assuming that there isn't number higher than 0 before the last three. I wonder how many GT500's are going to be built each week.
It will be interesting to see how this all works out.

145 scheduled for the week of 9/23/2019
756 scheduled for the week of 10/14/2019
761 scheduled for the week of 10/21/2019

21 days difference and 611 sequence.

Then 7 days and only 5 sequence.

I’m not sure the vin# will be an indicator of builds per week.

Sent from my POFS iPhone in a rage cause this is the third try.

It is sure starting to look like that. That's why I asked about the number before the last three. Ford may be treating the GT350/GT500 like they do other Mustangs and just add them to the build sequence. So there could be a lot of Mustangs in the same build sequence.

I saw this thread and admit to being a little jealous. I had to remind myself that the timing of the submitted orders means nothing and as such I could get mine last, possibly.

Well, Nick called me a short time ago. My scheduled build week is 10/14. How mine was given to Nick after yours but scheduled prior...I'll leave that explanation to Nick. Anyway, the last three digits of my VIN are 756.

Can't wait and I hope the rest of Nick's guys all get their dates soon too!
Will it be making a drive down to GA on it's way home?

We're gonna take a close look at whoever's car comes first. I know he's going to look at the shift/knob dial and I'm interested in changing to a laser engraved plate atop the blower case. My wife's company will likely do caliper studs since I suspect the GT350 studs might be too short.

I suddenly want to play with GT500 parts.

This is the plate/sticker that comes on top of the factory Eaton blower case.

I had asked Nick did anyone else in our group get a VIN yet, and yes at the time of me posting up this thread I was the only one. Then about hour later he stated TOB got his as well, so I jumped on here and asked "TOB, speak up" lol.

Last 3 of my vin is 761, so not too far off at all. Maybe we would be able to get our cars ,and a couple more in the group, at the same time.

God i hope not. mine sitting for an extra month waiting on delivery would kill me. Cant me and my salesman go pick it up ourselves?

i think u saw the convo on G6, said that 9 per day to start, start of 9/9, 45 gt500/week, mine is #145 at 9/23, so it lines up

GT500's used to have unique VIN's.
Looks like everything in the Mustang line-up ( 2019 MY ) is mostly the same.
2019 Mustang GT ( 1FA6P8CF1K5124116 )
2019 Shelby GT350 ( 1FA6P8JZ3K5552671 )
2019 Bullitt Mustang ( 1FA6P8K02K5506457 )..

Tob,
Have you figured out how to removed the stock plate? If so, is there a way to remove it without destroying it?

It's held on with adhesive. To remove, heat/pry. If you're careful you should get it off in good condition if you want to re-adhere it later.

Actually, they're just as unique as ever. Using the first VIN...

1: country of origin (1)
2: manufacturer (F)
3: series (A)
4. safety braking (6)
5. series (P)
6/7. body code (8C)
8. engine size (F)
9. check number, to ensure VIN is an actual VIN (1)
10. Year of production (K)
11. manufacturing plant (5)
12-17. vehicle specific (124116)

This is the number I was referring to as the sequence number. This is the number everyone is using as a VIN when they don't want to post the entire number. The odd thing is that all the 2020 GT500's seem to start their sequence with 50. Is this the same thing your are seeing in the other 2020 Mustangs?
If that is the case, VIN 500115 could be a 4cyl Mustang, 500116 GT350, 500117 Mustang GT, 500118 GT500. Is this plausible?
